22oz bomber. Opaque brown-black with a frothy beige head. Hardcore peppermint in the aroma, think peppermint patty. Quite different, highly unique. The peppermint actually works quite nice as a balancing bitter to the big roasted, chocolate malts. A good bottle to split, taking one of these to the head is pretty intense. Well executed, a little artificial and overflavored, but still nice. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - FEB 27, 2006
Black with a smaller tan head. Peppermint schnapps, cola and coffee in the aromas. Flavors actually cling to the aromas with an added dose of cocoa. For me barrel aging in this one has pushed it to a liqueur type quaff. Slick and smooth in feel. An interesting libation Petrucci914 (910) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - APR 9, 2011
Pours black with a medium mocha color. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, mint, light bourbon........kinda smells and tastes like an Andes Mint. I expected it to be really boozy, thick, and cloying but it was actually quite balanced. arminjewell (9676) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAY 18, 2011
Bottle, pours deep black with thin tan head. Aroma has notes of peppermint patty to a tee, lots of peppermint, bordering on vegetal, with chocolate, slight vanilla, coffee, slight notes of caramel. Taste is slightly vegetal, but not as minty chocolate as the aroma, with more complex notes of roast, toffee, burnt sugars along with the mint and chocolate. Coffee is more prevalent. Overall a very interesting beer, creative and unique, but feel like some areas could improve. jtclockwork (16603) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 8, 2011
Bottle. Pours black. Brown head. Nose/taste of mint leaves, chocolate, roast dark malts, oak and coffee. Sweet complex mouth feel. Slightly bitter finish. Medium body.

Aroma is burnt coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate. As it warms you can smell some mint. Not a lot of bourbon. Taste is upfront pretty minty, dryness from the barrel but the mint covers up a lot of the flavor. Subtle bourbon in the finish. Interesting beer. Solid carbonation, mouthfeel could be thicker. pete4999 (1445) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 15, 2011
Had some big pours from this out of the bottle recently. Not sure how old it was. I was extremely impressed with this. Strong mint scent that fades into vanilla and chocolate sweetness as it warms. Really enjoyed this. DasBierChef (1083) - Hudson, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 20, 2011
A very nice stout. The mint is subtle and compliments the chocolate nicely.

22oz bottle from Atom, thanks Adam! Pours a deep brown, mostly black colored body with a finger-width, creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is like a Peppermint Patty. Lots of mint with a nice chocolate backing. Bourbon comes out a bit more as this warms as well as a light roasty note with just a touch of coffee. Flavor is similar. The mint is again strong, but thankfully not too overpowering. Still very reminiscent of a Peppermint Patty up front, but the chocolate is sweet enough to keep it balanced. A light bourbon towards the end as the roasts and coffee come out a bit more before this finishes somewhat dry and a bit woody with a pleasant, cooling peppermint. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a really unique and enjoyable stout. The mint is strong, but really well balanced by the chocolate and light bourbon, wood, roast, and coffee elements. Would love to see this in a slightly bigger body, but as it is, this is really easy drinking. Great beer. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUL 22, 2014
(Backlog) Bottle at fantasy tasting at Paul’s. Black pour with tan head. Barely any mint, roasted, chocolate, bourbon whisky tones fill out this stout.
