Draft. Pours hazy golden orange with a white head. Yeasty and flowery aroma, with some herbal notes and a light fruity sweetness. The flavor has spicy yeast, some earthy notes, chamomile-like flowery notes, and a light fruity sweetness. Pretty good. radagast83 (8059) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JAN 6, 2012
Tap at brewery. Poured an amber color with a tiny off-white head. Aroma was malts, spice notes, fruits. Flavor was malts, weak spice, a touch of mostly earthy hops. Okay attempt at the style. joshwilfong (1200) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - FEB 14, 2009
yellowish with brown with mild white head. a lot of flavor, not subtle like my favorite versions. esters are a little high for the style. not the best Drake (13734) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 19, 2008
This is being billed as simply the South Street Saison at 7% abv, but the description is very similar, so I won’t create a new beer entry. Yellow gold pour with a creamy one finger head. Moderate head retention and good lacing. Yeast, candi sugar and spice (clove) in the aroma. Sweet fruity taste with notes of caramel, citrus and spice. Medium-full body. hershiser2 (3236) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JAN 30, 2006
Draft, of course. Pours a lightish amber with a small off-white head. Malty aroma, some sweet fruits, some hops, and malts. Flavor is overall kinda blandish, but not bad. Has the same sweet fruits- but not too sweet- and a ricey/malty finish. Made me long for Thai food after tasting it- I think it was the finish.

This is one of the best South Street beers I have had. I have had many more than I have rated, and this is one of the best. Away from the atmosphere of the bar, I have been struck by a sameness with regard to their lighter colored ales in many cases, but this one is different, and quite good. It pours a hazy golden with a decent but fading head. Their beers never do keep much head, but I suppose this is merely an aesthetic issue. The nose is malty, slightly hoppy and a bit yeasty. The flavor is similar, with a bit of bitterness as well. A solid beer and one I would hope would come back again.
