20 oz draft. Nice clear reddish brown ale poured with a thin off-white head. The malty aroma has notes of dark fruits and caramel. Very well balanced. Nice amber ale. r464 (2360) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2016

On tap at Cask. Clear medium amber, slight head. Aroma of caramel malts, lightly citric hops if you went looking for them. Flavor matched. For lack of a better word, it was inoffensive. Brigadier (3665) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - JAN 9, 2016

Everything I have to say about this draft has been covered in previous reviews of South Street’s mainstays. If you want to drink local and it is cheap go for it. Otherwise this struggles to be average despite not glaring flaws.
Aroma / Appearance - A chestnut brown base glows with warmth under weak icy head. Caramel malts rise upwards with the smell of a dewy pine in the middle of being processed for lumber.
Flavor / Palate - Red vines, caramel, and bland malts succeed in getting the job done. There’s no big fanfare however; this then fades away like a morning fog. Unless you are trying an entire flight of all the beers on tap don’t spend time with this mediocre amber ale.

Bottle. Deep amber in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Sweetish, caramel, notes, a touch of orange and red berry fruit and moderately bitter finish. Good.
