Sample from bottle. Pours a hazy red shade with almost zero head. Bright, fresh, jammy, raspberry aroma. Very sour, dry and oaky with more great raspberry character. Very, very tasty. Although I would’ve love the bottle to myself I was glad to share this with some great people. sarro (134) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - SEP 20, 2013
Bottle shared thanks to erikkoppin. Pours a clear, orange tinted red. SHows fine, lively carbonation in the glass. Smell is funk, Parmesan cheese, vinegar, and cider. Taste is sour with notes of tart raspberry and yogurt. Has a nice sharp sourness accompanied by light fruit. Finishes dry. SrSilliGose (3331) - pouring bus, New Brunswick, CANADA - AUG 12, 2013
Bottle. Thanks chad and kan for offering all these neat beers. Pleasant berry parfait. Black berries. Raspberries. Potent. Nice berry character. Inviting. Lemony yogurt provides nice bit of acidity to compliment the fun berry mixture. Dry. Quite drinkable. Good. PhillyCraft (7714) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 5, 2013
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2013 Bottle cracked by NJ Alan at a tasting. Thanks for bringing this one down bro. Pours ruby with light head if any. Notes are loaded with smuckers jam, tart raspberry, oak, vino, vanilla, and dark fruit. Similar to Raspberry tart but lighter bodied and more puckery. One of the best fruit beers I have had the pleasure of trying. Tried again a couple weeks later, just as awesome with lots of tart Mexican candy notes. Sweet! Bottle. Dark redbrown beer with a minimal pink head. Berries and a bit rubberaroma. Sourish and berry flavour. A nice beer with a good balance :-)

Sample from 750 ml bottle. Pours a reddish purple amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a nice black raspberry fruitiness with a welcoming tart sour character and mild to moderate funk. Very drinkable with a nice amount of sour. Very good and I would welcome another taste of this at some point. (from notes) Huhzubendah (3736) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Thanks a lot to Mike T. For sharing. What a treat.
The beer is a deep ruby-purple hue with virtually no head. The aroma brings berries, raspberries, funk. It smells exactly as advertised. Black raspberry lambic. Awesome flavor, even a step up from the nose. Like a funky black cherry soda minus any sugary sweetness. Beautifully executed. An elegant beer, and certainly a stand out among American lambics. crossovert (13724) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 28, 2013
Not super sour, funky, or blackberry-y. But it is a nice easy drinking fruit ale. Godofthecellar (677) - NYC, New York, USA - APR 25, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2013 big thanks to Dan, (Totoropanda) for opening this

N- raspberry jam, moldy raspberry and sour yeast notes
T- sweet raspberry jam, carmelized berry chutney with light wine notes. more funk in the nose, but can taste a suttle tartness and brett
M- very smooth and enjoyable

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2013 Enjoyed another (properly labeled!) bottle last week and felt the need to update my rating. Taking this from a 4.0 to a 4.2 because it’s jammy as hell and tastes much better than Framboos ’11.
Original rating: Opened alongside an incorrectly labeled bottle of Southampton IRS (which is definitely this BRL, not a stout).
Fantastically tart, fruity aroma. Fresh fruit, super jammy. Finishes sharp and clean. Superb balance; easily one of my favorite American sours.
