A - Cork pop was minimal, absolutely still on the pour with a tiny and almost unnoticeable line of white bubbles around the edge of the glass. Looks like fresh squeezed blackberry juice.
S - Nose is a minor band-aid aroma with rodenbach flanders red nose. Just a hint of cider vinegar and cherries. Blackberry and blueberry but maybe I’m just smelling things that aren’t there. The last two are probably just in my head.
T - Lacto tartness in the middle, up front is cherries and raspberries with a hint of watermelon. Very "juicy" and sweet. The finish is an acidic vinegar note that contains the glorious grape skins and earthiness you’d get while swishing around a Pinot Grigio. Fruity, tart, sour, vinegar, funky and sweet.
M - Light body and almost no carbonation. Flat, dry and almost an apple cider texture of slick, dry and coyingly sweet. Wish it had a bit more carbonation
O - How does it fair against other wilds? There’s no dominant vinegar that overpowers everything which, for an American Wild is a nice surprise. The fruit balance is exquisite and it was blended in a pleasant way. Not in line with the hype but still an enjoyable wild.
Rating #1700. Bottle @ THE Sour Fruit Tasting. The pour’s deep reddish purple with a small off-white head. The nose is super jammy blackberry and raspberry.. Sugary jam, crushed meaty berry. Great vitality, fresh aromas. The taste is big, sweet meaty blackberry and raspberry. Wonderful, buoyant fruits flavors. The sweetness is balanced by a mildly acetic woody tang. Wonderfully balanced and easy to drink. The flavors are bright, fresh, clean. Soft carbonation. Overall, I could drink this every day. An amazing fruit sour. Bottle thanks to Jack at THE fruit sour tasting. It pours deep purple with a small fizzy white head. The nose is bramble jam, tangy berry, blackcurrant cordial, wood and raspberry yoghurt. The taste is sour raspberry, raspberry pip, bramble, blackcurrant, jam, great sweet-sour balance, lemon, lip-smacking sourness, moderate acidity, granny smith apple and wood with a tart finish. Medium body and effervescent carbonation. Juicy, well-balanced and absolutely delicious. On draft at GABF 2012. Pours a hazy red-purple with an off-white head. Nose is sweet raspberry, vinegar, some oaky tartness, oak, vanilla, and mild funk. Deep ruby color, no head. Full raspberry aroma, very tart, with good raspberry flavor. Tingly carbonation and a bit on the thick side.

Bottle (50 cl), courtesy of rlgk. Shady ruby with a pink head. Fresh raspberry with soma black currants, green apples, grapefruit, and some barnyard. 750 ml bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours tiny hazy deep brownish ruby with a small frothy pinkiskh offwhite head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly sweet, slightly sour and fruity with raspberries, lemon juice, moist tobacco, wood, dark grapes, black tea, lemon zest, black currant leaves, dry soil, barnyard and hints of hints of woody tannins. Taste is very sour, fruity and tart with juicy raspberries, lemon juice, salty liquorice, moist tobacco, rose hips, black currants, wood, black tea, unripe gooseberries, hay, dark grapes, dry soil, barnyard and hints of raspberry vinegar. Mouthfeel is dry, fruity tart, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sour and tart with raspberries, black currant jam, black cherries, wood, lemon juice, hay, dry soil, tobacco, dark grapes and black tea. Lovely raspberry aroma, tart, grapefruit, vinous, hay, funky, vanilla notes, rubber, acidic, licorice, floral, black currant. Raspberry flavor, sour, tart, hay, floral, fruity, licorice notes, rubber notes, tart, leather notes, funky, tea, barnyard notes, vinous, tobacco notes, acidic. The aroma holds juicy, fresh and tart raspberries up front with undertones of subtle bread, lacto, citrus, rose hip, black currant, liquorice, tobacco, green tea, whisper of wood and a touch of funk. The flavor is dry, medium to heavily acidic and tiny bitter with notes of tart berries, citrus, lacto, dry malt, earth, light funk.
