Tap at the Blind Tiger. Nice light golden color with a thick white head. Good hops and citrus in the aroma along with various fruits. Taste has a good maltiness. Another good one from Southampton.

Had at Belgian with Justin. Pour is a medium gold with little lasting head. Aroma is super earthy with lots of malts and almost a hint of almonds and chocolate. Flavor is bread, almonds, and malts. Not my style at all.

Light spice which probably comes from the added minerals. Very light floral and random fruit in the nose and flavor. Enjoyable.

On cask. Pours hazy gold, bit of an orange tint. Fluffy (for cask) white head. Nose is lightly sweet pale malts, hops come through lightly with a bit of citrus. Hard to grab on to. Malt comes through as lightly sweet and a bit doughy, with a nice, firm, spicy, citrusy hop note. Finish is lightly bitter, with a bit of an odd corny aftertaste. May have been bad tap lines. Strange. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied, very mild carbonation, even for cask.

This is a good, refreshing session ale, if thats what youre looking for, but I couldnt get excited about it. Solid but undistinctive. Nicely hopped rom the opening taste to the aftertaste, some subtle flavor notes that I frankly couldnt identify. After I finished, it occurred to me that this is what Sam Adams Boston Lager should be -- it would be a great intro to craft beer for a novice.

Tap at Sams Ale house, NYC. Nice golden color with small but lasting white head. Aroma is malt, citrus and floral. Taste is grapefruity and mineral nastiness competing with malt, and hops in the finish. Maybe I just dont like the style, but I did not find it very refreshing or drinkable. BUY AGAIN? Maybe someday - just to see if what Im poured or my perception of it remains the same.

Draught at SPH Brewpub. Nice amber colour with a very lacy head. Light spice aroma with notes of hops and fruit. Drinkable indeed. I have had several growlers of this one!

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2015 Very drinkable ipa. Pleasantly surprised fro This brewery. Usually they are very heavy in their brewing. Well done Southampton.
