Bottle shared by b3shine. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate sweet citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. Good brew.

Bottle to taster (shared by me with the group; thanks tgncc). Looks solid; a transparent orange with thin off-white head that quickly dissipates into lacing. Smells of fairly bitter hops with a big pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Not bad.

ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - OCT 6, 2013
12oz bottle. Pours a clear pale copper color with a small off-white head that settles into a light ring. Resinous pine and ripe citrus orange hop aromas with sweet caramel malt in the background. Pine hop flavors are dominant throughout. Ripe citrus orange and pungent floral hop flavors up front and thru the middle with a sweet caramel malt bacbone. Finishes with a lingering pine hop bitterness. Creamy smooth body with rich carbonation.

Leighton (21255) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2013
Bottle at home in Salisbury. Pours perfectly clear gold with a moderate, creamy head. Nose has dry hay, husky grains, dry orange and various stone fruits. Light to medium sweet flavor with melon and peach, some bitter citrus rind and pine, touches of bubblegum. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Not warming on the finish but does provide some boost, along with further melon, light bread, peach, orange and pine. Nothing wrong here.

Cloudy amber orange with no head. Very malty aroma. First sip is malt. There is hop presence, but this by far the maltiest "ipa" I’ve ever had. Finish is vanilla and toffee. I cant say i care for this beer.

On tap at Whole Foods. Pours copper with two finger white head. Excellent lacing. Fruity floral on the nose, citrus, biscuit. Moderately bitter. Light crispness. A little astringent as it warms up.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/23/2013. Pours slightly cloudy orange copper color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange zest, grapefruit, pear, floral, caramel, toast, bread, grass, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of hop and malt notes; with fairly weak strength. Taste of orange zest, grapefruit, pear, apple, caramel, toast, brown bread, floral, pine, grass, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, light fruit, caramel, brown bread, toast, pine, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance of hop and malt flavors with light yeast fruitiness; with a great bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good English IPA style. Nice balance and complexity of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
