Pours dark, dense brown with a short head. Nose of roasted malts and barnyard goodness. Medium sweet, roasty, black coffee bitter flavor. Medium body, average carbonation, thin-sticky texture, and a very roasty bitter finish. True to the style but could be more dynamic. onceblind (11492) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 22, 2014
Black with a fast dissipating head of a light beige hue. Nose is sweet and roasty with a little cocoa creme and licorice. Flavor is really neat with earthy sweet licorice, earthy chocolate, some gentle bittersweet roast, a gentle molasses tone, and a touch of sweet porter-ish cola. A little bit on the booze ester, otherwise pretty nice. zizzybalubba (1896) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JAN 17, 2014
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Cola-like dark brown pour (appears black in the glass) with a frothy light khaki head. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, and light smoke. Flavor is good and not too bitter with chocolate and weak coffee upfront and hints of caramel on the finish. Easily quaffable considering this is "Imperial". ryanscourt (1582) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 16, 2014
Had on on tap at urban tap in south side. Was excited to try an imperial porter but was disappointed. Boring and metallic. GJF (1520) - Mount Vernon, Iowa, USA - JAN 15, 2014
Bottle at Lincoln Wine Bar. Almost black, creamy beige head, nice lacework. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, smooth, fully body. Malts and a touch of licorice. No bitterness.

Nearly black pour with a 2 finger, creamy beige head that has great retention and leaves a little lacing. Lots of chocolate, cereal and smoke in the aroma, some acidity, toffee and light charred dark fruit notes. Flavor is big on dark chocolate, smoke and charred roast, then lots of cereal, oddly strong with all the roast notes, dark toffee, light acidic and dark fruit notes. Medium body, creamy entry, medium carbonation and still creamy, but slightly acidic and thinner finish. Really good stuff. wlajwl (7348) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JAN 9, 2014
Aroma is toffee, dark malts and a hint of spicy heat. The flavor is dark malts, toffee, light spicy notes and an acidic/slightly sour finish. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 6, 2014
This one poured a darker brown color with a beige head. Aroma was of smoke, dark fruits, and medium roast. Falvor was similar, grapey, caramel, smoke and roast. bkurtz (1166) - LITHUANIA - DEC 26, 2013
Rich Baltic porter with aromas of caramelized malts, coffee, and chocolate. Not so complex, but a tasty, full-bodied beer. Imaena (2295) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - NOV 21, 2013
Bottle. This is a really nice big porter with a full rich roasted profile. Well worth picking up.
