On tap at the Publick House. Light golden color and yeasty aroma. Great balance, one of the best Octoberfest beers I’ve ever had. Eyedrinkale (3214) - Astoria, New York, USA - FEB 13, 2009
On tap at HDG. Dark gold with a small head and a sweet grain aroma to go with a bit of fresh hops. Flavor is pretty damn tasty and not as sweet as most beers in this style I’ve had. A bit of cut grass makes it pretty drinkable. hopdog (12816) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2008
On tap at the KSBF ’08. Poured a medium to deeper amberish color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of bread, toasted grains, and some caramel. Tastes of the same toastiness, grains, and caramel. Definitely on the sweeter side. Goodgrief (2050) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - OCT 5, 2008
KSBF 08. Dark copper pour. Really biscuity and toasty and sweet caramel malty flavor. Some hop bitterness, but mild. Sticky, sticky mouthfeel. Bordering on cloying. Just too sweet, but a nice blend of flavors. puzzl (3260) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 25, 2008
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2008 Cask at Chelsea Cask Fest. Man, this was flat out terrible. Something tasted off with the cask, but the cellar man claims it was in perfect condition. So be it. Gummy, fall foliage and euro hops in the nose. Flavor is chalky and muddy but laced with so much diacetyl... my god! I couldn’t finish even a 6oz glass. I’d like to try this one again on tap.

on tap @ Andy’s, SH Promo night. Clear amber/light copper in color. Aroma is toasty malts, light bread and a moderate amount of german noble hops. Taste is pretty dry and smooth with caramel, toasted malts, and a moderate hop bitterness. Clean but not too exciting. thenick (766) - North Bellmore, New York, USA - OCT 7, 2007
Tap @ SPH. Pours a beautiful deep orange with a small white head. Aroma is vanilla, malt, and hops. Taste is largely the same, with vanilla up front dissolving to a wonderful malt characteristic and an ever so subtle hop bitterness at the end. I love Oktoberfest beers, and this is one of my favorites. austinpowers (2832) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 1, 2007
Enjoyed on tap at the Publick House in Southampton, NY. For a buck per taster, the 10-sampler platter’s the way to go. Copper-colored with the predictable vienna-flavored malty goodness. True to style. goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - SEP 30, 2007
Tap @ the Publick House. Poured a clear deep copper color with a thin off-white head. Malty caramel and toasty aroma. Some earthy hop. The flavor is malty with some sweetness. Semi-dry with a mild bitterness and a little spicy. Light-medium body. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 29, 2007
Pours a medium amber, mostly clear, thin diminishing head to nothing after a while. Aroma is deep sharp caramel malts and toffee with some brown sugar- light herbal hops. Flavor is also deep stewed caramel malts, perhaps lots of dark munich malts, but that rich bready toastiness doesnt come out like Ramstein or Triumph. Ok mouthfeela dn smooth finish. This was right about on par with SA o-fest. Average.
