Earthy, peppery hop aroma, with hints of biscuit and caramel. Copper color. Fresh, lush, grassy, earthy hop character supported by a killer body. Nice beer, of course, it’s from Southampton.

very good ipa, better than average. Nice full nose with a dry crisp finish. Hops are everywhere with this beer. I loved to try it on tap.

Huge firm foamy white head over a rich amber beer. Looks perfect. Hoppy malty nose announces a hoppy malty toffee beer. Is this a Hop Devil ... no, it has the same Cascade Orange taste to the hops, but without the pine tar. Good balance. A bit diminutive — funny word to use for an IPA, except when comparing it to a Hop Devil. Maybe balance is not a good thing? Anyway, tastes great, easy to drink, good long bitter finish.

Looks great and appetizing - frothy, lush head over a perfectly golden-orange body. The aroma is pleasantly light and hoppy, and somewhat floral. The flavor starts with a nice burst of hops filling my mouth, almost as if I bit into one, but it finishes fairly thin compared to other IPA’s. The finish allows for hops to linger for while, which I love! Overall, its a decent beer and enjoyable, although not as interesting as other Southampton beers I’ve had.

pobenohne (504) - Northern Liberties, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 27, 2005
Draft at Sippin by the River ’05. Another knockout brew by the Publick House. Smashing IPA, gotta take a drive ou there one of these days.

OlivierMTL (709) - Quebec, CANADA - SEP 10, 2005

Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 6, 2005
Draft at the Publick House. Rocky white head lasts over the light amber hue. The citrusy and floral, grapefruity cascade and others strike first, but the cerealic and toasted malt offers sufficient support. Light-medium body, powdery foamy texture with biting carbonation. Dry palate, citric, very clean all-around, efficient good stuff, precisely what you’d expect.

Tap at SPH. Golden color with a thin white head. Light citrus and earthy aroma on top of caramel. Flavor of malt quickly goes to a big citrus flavor with a big bitter finish.

Probiere (992) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 6, 2004
Nice peachy-grapefruit aroma mix. Taste citrus like a pale, good mouthfeel, better than average but still nothing out of the ordinary.

MaiBockAddict (1497) - Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA - JUN 20, 2004
Tap at the Blind Tiger. Golden and clear with a white head. Hoppy aroma. Nice hop malt flavor balance. This is a nice session beer.
