3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured orange with white head. Aroma of spice and some cinnamon. Flavor was mostly of pumpkins with some cinnamon. Finished with some spice.
Draught @ Malt&Mold. Hazy darkish yellow with small foamy white head, very faint pumpkin aroma, high carbonation, sweetish pumpkin taste with a bit of soapy flavor, thin body, abrupt finish with mild pumpkin aftertaste. The pumpkin flavor feels artificial. onceblind (10893) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 19, 2017
Clear deep golden hue under a thin white cap. Odd nose that's like BBQ potato chips. Smooth but brightly carbonated body with a little bit of that sweet BBQ chips spice like from the nose with a lingering bit of pumpkin and clove like you'd normally expect, on a lightish body. From a 12oz bottle into a North Coast chalice. Pours amber with small head and lace. Aroma of rich malts, cinnamon, powder sugar. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of rich malts, slight melon gourd, citrus rind, minerals, field herbs. Overall rich, flavorful in spices and some complexity. sloshgator (770) - Orlando, Florida, USA - DEC 14, 2015
Southampton Pumpkin Ale is definitely on the average side. Dark orange pour with a fizzy head that disappears quickly. You pretty much are drinking it flat. Aroma is light pumpkin spice. Taste is mild and a bit watery with light flavors of pumpkin spices on malt backbone. Southhampton’s Pumpkin may appeal to casual beer drinkers that want something different, but there are better choices for the pumpkin beer aficionado. beerbomb (239) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 29, 2015
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2016 aroma has pungent woody spices with tangy pumpkin, ginger and vanilla background. flavor has tangy pumpkin, nice woody baking spices, vanilla, ginger and just a hint of hops. nothing overly complicated-straightforward and very flavorful, well balanced traditional style pumpkin beer-no fake or odd extract flavors or stickiness-not overdone-one of the best pumpkin/spice beers out there...
*over a year later and still outstanding!

Bottle. Strong pumpkin spice aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice with notes of pumpkin and vanilla. Pours amber-orange colored with a very thin white head with poor retention and no lacing. Starts with good pumpkin flavor as well as a bit of the spice. Finishes smooth with the spice becoming more dominant with just a touch of vanilla. Decent pumpkin beer, but not amongst one of my favorites. skatanarchy (212) - - JUL 13, 2015

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s in a mixer sixer. Pours a hazy dark reddish orange appearance with a light brown head. The aroma is very spicy - lots of nutmeg and vanilla, some cinnamon and allspice - along with some caramel and toasted pumpkin. Medium light body. Medium light sweetness, low bitterness. Nice mouth feel. Typical pumpkin beer with a lot of spices. This is pretty ok. There’s some citrus, plenty of caramel, and doesn’t taste too fake. A little twangy. Fine. Not bad. It is a nice break from the usual 10%+ ABV beers. I’m not usually a fan of Pumpkin beers but this is probably my new fav.. danfosha (52) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 2, 2015
Aroma is slight, malty, maybe a hint of clove. Pours an orangish amber, with a creamy white head. Mild bitterness and sweetness. Creamy texture, average carbonation, medium bodied. Mild pumpkin and spice flavor.
