Cloudy yellow pour with a thick creamy head that throws off a funky Belgian aroma. Starts slightly tart with some sweetness underneath. No hops. A bit thin. I think I liked the old in-house bottled regular saison better.

A cloudy yellow appearance with a very large head. It was quite the struggle to pour this into the clear plastic cup at the Motel 6. A spicy, coriander, apricot, and pear aroma. The flavor is quite tangy with some oranges, peaches, apricots, and alcohol showing. A nice warming and sour finish. This was a good one!

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2007 Poured a hazy golden color with a large, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, light spices of coriander and cardamom, and a yeastiness. The taste was a bit sweet, with lemon meringue, grassy hops, yeast, citrus fruit, black pepper, and alcohol. I’d imagine a year or so with this will really work wonders.

I had this over the course of the weekend and I wish I could remember it better. i remember thanking god that it didn’t taste too much like super sour funk saisons. that being said, i still don’t really care for the style.

Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Aroma is lightly fruity and yeasty with some mild lemon sourness and light flowery hops. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a large soapy white head with great retention. Lots of oragne peel in the flavor. Moderate amounts of citrus in the form of lemon and orange. Mildly yeasty. Finishes with a mellow flowery and spicey finish.

sampled from a 750 at brewtopia 10/21/06. This may be the best saison I have had. Hazy golden with a big off white head. Aroma is spicy, peppery, bready, earthy and tangy citrus. Taste is tart citrus, earthy yeast, peppery, with a long, dry lightly bitter finish. awesome beer.

Bottled. Poured Golden with an immense, fluffy, white head. Lots of foam. Nose was sour, yeasty, and citrusy. The flavor was tart, citrusy, yeasty, with a touch of spice. The finish was dry with alcohol tones and a nicely carbonated mouthfeel.

Unholy insane huge white foamy head. Poured into my La fin du Monde tripel glass it was about 90% head and 10% liquid on first (careful) pour. It then expanded even further creating a mound worthy of mashed potatoes circa Close Encounters of the Third Kind before finally chilling out a bit. The aroma is very peppery, lemony, spicy... Very yeasty overall. The flavor is quite lemon loaded up front then the spicy yeast kicks in. Sweetness also makes a presence that balances things out a bit. Medium-light palate with a lightly fizzy (not nearly as much as one would expect given the enormity of the head). Quite nice and very fun to drink.

750ml bottle Pours golden amber with a nice forthy white head that stays very well and laces the tulip glass in weblike patterns. Aromas of yeast, honey, lemon, some grass, and a spice presence. Good complex flavor includes honey, yeast, dough, lemon, pepper, corriander, and some grassy hops. Palate is light and airy with a somewhat spicey dry finish. Amazingly complex and quite fantastic to sample..
