Bottle. Pours a cloudy bright yellow-amber color with a generous rocky white head, one of the best looking beers around. Aroma is wheat, yeast, lemon, clove. Flavor is bread, clove, grass, acidic. Palate is medium-full, highly carbonated, friuty, dry finish. Outsatnding, one of my favorites of this year. GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - JUN 17, 2007
750 mL bottle corked and caged. Thanks for sharing Kevin. Poured a cloudy orange color with a billowy white head. There was some nice lace on the glass at the end. Attractive aroma of fruit, white wine, and spices. Very effevervescent on the tongue, but appropriately so. Tasted of yeasty bread dough, champaign, subdued apple, and spices. Delicious. cking (1175) - North Canton, Ohio, USA - NOV 4, 2007
750 ml I picked up for half of the regular price. Hazy in the bottle with a thick layer of yeast in the bottom. Uncorked and poured slowly into my glass. Bright cloudy golden-orange in color with a billowing huge white head and thick lacing. A bountiful aroma of fruity yeast, musty with a nice funk. Light and tingly on the palate. It’s tangy with a mild sourness, rather balanced and refreshing. Lots of wonderful flavors, the most I’ve been able to detect in a Saison. Oranges and peaches over an earthy malt base. Musty yeast and spicy hops. Tart enough to intrigue me, but not too much. Well done, I thoroughly enjoyed this bottle. presario (4925) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 7, 2008
Mega-giant white head. Bright amber turns cloudy as you pour. Lively dancing nose. Hops and a hint of Belgian farm. Light airy body. Gently sweet. A little bit sour and tangy. Hoppy funk, although not as funky as some of the Belgian examples.. Belgian IPA or American Triple. hoosiers1994 (685) - Maryland, USA - JUN 3, 2011
750 bottle into a tulip. Aromas are lemon, coriander, bread, and some fruit. Pours a cloudy medium yellow with a thick white pillowy head with large bubbles. A beautiful beer for sure. Tastes are sweet bready yeasts up front, with hops on the back end. The spice is there but not dominant, and there is a boozy note that is surprising. Body is light to medium and the carbonation is high, perhaps a little over the top on that note. Overall, this is a very good and interesting saison, great for a summer evening.

drank at mondial 2011 in mtl. pours bright golden, slight haze, with a towering white head, excellent retention and lacing. aroma is apple, yeast, pear, lemony. taste is honeyed malts, lemon tartness, alcohol, hint of caramel malts (shockingly with this pale blond), oaky, medium citrusy hopping, and some herbalness. very lively, microbubbly, foamy, liquid is still somewhat light bodied. Great saison. Nice sweetness and carbonation, feels heavier than most saisons. Not too funky.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2006 Rating #150. 750mL bottle. This beer looks incredible, to begin: clear golden-orange beneath a fluffy off-white head; well-retained with strong lacing. Generous aroma, showing some tartness, barnyard funk, lemons and herbs. Nice up-front tartness (just a bit), followed by a medium-to-full mouthfeel showing pepper, citrus, some bread and yeast - all surrounded by a candy sugar sweetness. The finish is peppery, well-balanced. Very enjoyable saison. OhioDad (2492) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - OCT 17, 2006
750ml bottle Pours golden amber with a nice forthy white head that stays very well and laces the tulip glass in weblike patterns. Aromas of yeast, honey, lemon, some grass, and a spice presence. Good complex flavor includes honey, yeast, dough, lemon, pepper, corriander, and some grassy hops. Palate is light and airy with a somewhat spicey dry finish. Amazingly complex and quite fantastic to sample.. Dorwart (2609) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - NOV 21, 2006
Large fluffy off-white head of fine bubbles. Reduces to a wavy, dense 1/4 thick foam. Tons of carbonation. Spicey, yeasty, grassy, typical saison aroma. Color is a medium golden orange. Clean and very smooth taste. Little fizzy palate. Light malts and a hint of alcohol. More spices and light lemon. This is some very tasty stuff. Dry and slightly bitter. Creamy butter in the flavor. Dry and lingering bitter finish. Darn, this is a very tasty stuff. A little on the expensive side but worth it once in a while.
