Pours a slightly hazy bright golden yellow color wih dark banana/straw colored edges and a two finger, frothy white head that quickly settles into lasting ring. Sporadic spotty lacing left behind. A bit darker than expected but looks nice.
Funky, musty aroma with a nice barnyard character along with zesty citrus peel/lemon juice, sourdough bread and lactic funk. Smells very good with a nice amount of lactic, funky cheesiness bouncing off of the citrus/lemon and sourdough bread notes. There’s some light fruit in there as well along with a subtle mineral presence. This beer smells exactly like what I want from the style. Incredibly inviting nose.
On the fuller end of medium body with a really nice balance of lactic funk, sour citric acidity, sourdough bread and light fruit. A lot of American interpretations aren’t on point but this is really true to style. Citric lemon juice acidity with wheat/sourdough bread flavor followed by a dry, mineral-like quality and light apple and pear sweetness in the finish. A little thicker than I prefer but this beer is true to style and very easy to drink. Highly recommended! slowrunner77 (12162) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 25, 2014
"A pleasant wheaty, fruity and slightly funky aroma gives way to an amazing (and even more funky) sour flavor. Slight sweetness, very dry. The wheat shines. Unlike Grand Teton, who had a too-sweet higher abv Berliner, this one is pretty stinkin good. " deekyn (1459) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 26, 2014
A - pours a hazy light honey with quickly dissipating head. S - aromas of honey, lemon zest, grape flavoring and "emergen-c" citrusy drink mix. M - light body with a nice light tartness. Dry end. Low carb. T - wheat, honey and lemon/lime up front. Grapefruit, grape juice, lemon zest, acetic acid. Lingering airborurne/emergen-c type flavor. O - nice ba Berliner. Wish I tried it fresh. 3.8 PhillyCraft (7417) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Bottle care of Joe at Erics’ tasting. Poured clear gold with light head and not much lace. Notes were big on dark grape and plum skins mixed in with some awesome butt yeast. Good drink for sure. jredmond (8342) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 19, 2013

Bottle at RBSG. Pours a hazy light yellow. Nose is lemon, lacto, and sweet yeast. The palate is light acid, grain, applesauce, malt, and a hint of citrus. Medium dry finish. A bit too sweet for my liking. Aniela (4216) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 9, 2013

Big thanks to the kind soul that shared this one at the recent Tampa Tasting. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is white grapes, some lemon, citrus, tartness, and hints of wheat. Flavor is similar- tart citrus and some white grapes with hints of wheat and lactic. Medium in body for the style and very nice overall. jtclockwork (16725) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 21, 2013

2011 bottle, No. 45 out of 450, shared by Max at Zach & Matt’s tasting. Pours golden yellow with medium white head. Aroma and taste of sour, tart lemon rind and juice with some noticable funkiness. Acidic, tart and well balanced. Extremely refreshing. I really enjoyed this one. Thanks Max!
