COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What we imagine an 19th century British Porter would have tasted like. We barrel aged this strong Porter in a red wine barrel for one year and pitched it with a strain of Brettanomyces for authenticity. Only 20 cases bottled.

22oz bottle shared at BCTC, again glad I got to try this. This was better than New Glarus take on an old porter. Aroma is fruity, tart, and generally wild, covering up anything porter about it. Flavor is first a bit of a dark malts sweetness, then very tangy, then some ash. Interesting stuff.

BCTC 2010, ratebeer tent, big thanks to whomever brought this. dark pour, woody and light wineiness notes in the aroma along with roasted malts, light to medium sour/tartness, sort of a spritzy mouthfeel. brett driven funk/tart/sourness. different.
