On tap @ Southend. Amber in color with a thin layer of khaki foam. Nice diacetyl/butter character to start it off. A good bit of caramel, some red fruits, and cooked grains. Mostly tastes like butter and butterscotch...just all around unpleasant. Yeah, it’s got some grainy/sugary sweetness...not that it really takes anything away from the butter. This is just not good.

Getting better on this beer flight but this is still bad. Cloudy red pour with ok head and lacing. Creamy consistency. Mash malt. Boring. Tap at Charleston brewpub.

Keg at the smokehouse in Charleston, 18/02/15. Reddish amber with a decent light beige head. Nose is buttery, sweet notes, caramel. Taste comprises diacetyl, malt and caramel just peeping through amongst the butter bath. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Not excellent @meh.

It poured a red color with a tan head. The aroma was of some toffee. The taste was of bitter malts, nuts, toffee and floral hops.

Draft at the source. Clear amber color, thick white head. Aroma of lightly tiasted caramel. Taste is toasted biscuits with nutty caramel.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 12/7/12

Aroma: The nose has some mild caramel malts and light hoppy notes
Appearance: It pours a bright red color with an off-white head and coating lace
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, with some light malts and light hops as well
Palate: The body is lightish, it drinks alright, but just doesn’t have a ton to it
Overall Impression:  There’s not much to say. This beer is alright, but there’s just not a ton going on. I wouldn’t rush back for this one, and luckily I took pretty good notes, because it was so forgettable I can hardly remember it 3 days later.
