~Pours a clear light gold with small white head. Good lacing.
~Has a light wine scent almost like a sour, subtle berry citrus. Very pleasant.
~Light malty flavor with some very night sour citrusy notes.
~Light crisp feel, light pleasant finish.
~This is an excellent light ale! I really like the subtle sour notes. Skyview (5942) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JAN 22, 2010
Purchased 22-oz bomber from Liquid Solutions. Pours a clear pale golden yellow colored brew with a thick white head that has some nice retention and spotty lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, a hint of honey, citrus zest and a touch of bread. Taste is light to medium bodied, flavors of golden grain malt, citrus and floral hops and some bread dough and a hint of butter. Finish is crisp, light bitterness with a slowly disappearing golden grain and floral hop aftertaste. An ale with lager yeast? A little confusing but not in character. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 16, 2010
4 oz. Taste @ Portland, Oregon Spring Beer & Wine Fest April 3rd, 2010. 4.5% ABV. 20 IBU’s. Clear thin straw white color. Delicate hop front. Crisp malt tangy mild crusty body. Nice Pils hop snappy flavor. (4.0 / 5.0) Perkeo (322) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 26, 2009
OK, first, the sermon: WTF is up with stating right on the label that your beer is fermented with a lager yeast, yet you refer to it as "Gold Ale"? That aside, this is a very nice, very pale beer with a pleasant straw/grassy aroma, a nice bready but dry and crisp palate with noticeable hops to let you know it’s there. Currently very fresh at Belmobt Station and worth trying. Reid (2527) - Salem, Oregon, USA - SEP 11, 2010
Bomber from Capital Market,Salem.
Nice looking hazy ,yet bright golden beer with a nice big rocky, bubbly pure white head.
very nice fresh doughy, biscuity aromas..very pleasing.
Taste is similar to the aroma but with a very nice mellow citric/lemon "zing" to it in the end.
Nice mouthfeel to this lager.
A very nice surprise..a tasty, clean refreshing lager from Oregon.
This needs to be in 6 packs.

Good crisp lager on a sweaty hot, non-air conditioned day. Bright straw body with a towering head. Rich grain malt body that is moderately effervescent and sweet throughout. Grassy with touch of spuce pine. Very enjoyable. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - AUG 15, 2010
22oz bottle, purchased at Harry & David’s Medford. Pours a bright, slightly hazy, golden-straw color; significant, fine-bubbled white head with excellent retention and lacing; nice-looking pour on this. Lightly toasty, honeyed malt character in the nose, alongside a minerally, slightly citrusy hop character; just a touch of very light diacetyl / DMS rounding out the nose; not to the point of being an overt flaw, just a whisper; overall, a balanced and simple, slightly crisp lager aroma. Medium or less body; lively carbonation; a very light slickness / creaminess in the texture here; following the nose, some honeyed maltiness (very mildly toasty) upfront, and a balancing mineral hoppiness that never materializes to much hop flavor; reasonably crisp, reasonably clean (again, just a bit of slickness here), pretty tasty premium lager; drier and cleaner, with a touch more hop character (just something modestly expressive), and this would be even better. Definitely a solid rendition. Medium finish of mineral hop bitterness (more pronounced than anywhere else), along with a modest emergent toastiness; nicely dry and crisp ending to things. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle:   Golden straw, lively carbonation, moderate to large frothy white head, decent lacing.   Straw
like nose, a little cereal, slight grain, and a little bit of dried pasta?   Has a slight basil aspect, strange.
Fairly clean, nice grassiness from start to finish.   Decent amount of sweetness.   Moderate body and
mouthfeel.   Smidgen of straw, hay, and cereal like grains on the finish.   Seems flavorful, nice body, good
sipper.   Enjoyable!   Still remains good as it warms, which isn’t something I find as common. spikester (606) - Salem, Oregon, USA - MAR 21, 2009
Clear gold with more than one inch of white head. Good amount of lacings. Aroma is light floral hops. Taste is sweet malts with a light citrus hop flavor. Slight lemon dry finish. Makes me want some more. Very bold flavor for a Pale Lager. Very sessionable beer at 4.5% abv. troopie (2323) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - MAY 17, 2009
Bottle. Poured Pale gold with medium white head, Medium hop aroma with no citrus. Helles like flavour, a little sweet malt, a little bitter hop, a little astringent. Front of the tongue bitterish finish. If they call this an ale, they’re mistaken. This is a Helles lager.
