Best of the few SO beers Ive tried. Classic American porter with coffee and chocolate notes, and a touch of hop bite and smoke. Drinks a little thin, otherwise solid.

Thank you guys for sharing all great beers.Pour it dark color with no head.Aroma roasted malt,some dark chocolate.Taste starts with smooth milky feel,strange licorice,flat in the middle,roasted malt at the end and some funky note,soft carbonation, bitter.Ok

From bottle at a tasting @ Bors, with Borresteijn, Zlotta, Markoijelena, Adamnowek, Skortila, MarcodL and Harmen. Dark color, but not opaque. Light brown head. Aromas: rad fruit, roasty, chocolate, caramel. Retronasal theres chocolate, moderate bitterness, sweet fruit. Flavor is light sweet, roasty, light red fruit. Light bodied. Finishes roasty and light bitter.

Bottle tasted @ Bors place. The aroma has light chocolate, light roasty tones. Black coloured beer with a thin, off-white head. The taste is light sweet, light bitterness present, mildly roasted, has chocolate/cacao. Soft carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. Nice.

Sampled from bottle at Borresteijns place. Clear, very dark red to black with a soapy, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, some coffee and hints of dark ripe fruits. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, some coffee, cocoa and hints of dark ripe fruits, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite nice!

0,66l bottle at home shared with friends. no obvious BB date. black color, small tan head. smells of licorice, some dried fruits, raisins, earthy, light chocolate, coconut. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of dried fruits, light raisins, licorice, lightly earthy, very light roast. finishes with light roast and notes of raisins and some earthy notes.decent stuff, overall good stuff, easy drinkable.

Bottle (shared at Broer & Zus, Beverwijk). Pours dark with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate milk, sweet licorice, light roasted.malts. Taste is moderate sweet, light bitter, chocolate milk, light roasted malts, smooth chocolate aftertaste. Bit thin, but a very nice aftertaste.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 20 Feb 2016) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, cacao, black rye bread and tobacco. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, cacao, a touch of smoke and a balanced coffee bitterness in a dryish finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced porter. Nice one.
