Black beer with a non-exisiting off-white head.
Sweet caramel and chocolate, bitter and dry roasted malts and coffee.
[9/22/15] Draught at Beer Temple in Amsterdam. Very dark brown. Great chocolate aroma. Sweetish flavor, chocolaty, with cocoa, some roast, and a mildly bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Acid303 (674) - Barcelona, CATALONIA, - OCT 11, 2015
65cl bottle, served in Duvel glass. Pours deep dark brown, almost black, with small beige head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, brown sugar and hints of licorice. The flavour is more on the roasted malt side with cereals. Actually it is closer to a Stout beer than a Porter. Regarding palate, it is quite light bodied for a beer like this, and there’s minimal sweetness on the aftertaste...only some bitter notes. As already pointed above, except on the aroma, everything is very Stout-like. Carbonation, by the way, is ok. Overall it’s a good brew, doesn’t matter what it looks like. bierkoning (13747) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 6, 2015
Bottle. Almost black. Roast, ash and dark chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Milky, velvety mouthfeel. Salty. Malty sweetish. Fairly low on carbon. Caramel. Nice one.

Bottle at Gents Bierfestival. Dark brown, small head. Roast, caramel, light smoke, some chocolate, light bitter. Nothin special. Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2015
Tap at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Solid black with a tan head. Flavours are predominantly ashy and roasty with some light tobacco and vinous notes showing up. There’s nothing massively wrong with this but the combination of flavours didn’t really impress me. flip_soeperman (881) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 8, 2015
Very good medium to almost full bodied nice full porter. Lots of roasted aroma’s. Surpising good stuff.
