Murky, muddy brown with almost no head. Aroma is vanilla spice, bourbon, caramel. Sweet, thick, rich. Bourbon and burnt caramel, with enough spice to cut the bourbon. Just delicious. Damn shame it’s limited and very expensive.

16oz can pours an opaque black with some sticky, off white head. Big chocolate nose, vanilla too, malt, rootbeer, some roasty notes, nougat, hazelnut. Flavor is sweet with malt, nutella, chocolate, vanilla, nougat. Finishes sweet, full bodied. Nice enough, but really just reads as a sweet stout, not really any distinct barrel.

Pours well, dark mahogany with a smallish tan head. Heavy chocolate on the nose, sweet like milk chocolate but some bitterness as well. Creamy, velvety feel initially followed by a slightly spicy bite. Distinct woodiness, notes of booze, heavy lacto, chocolate, peanuts. Pretty straightforward, but nothing spectacular for the style.

Pours dark brown/black with high carbonation. Fairly thin with a chocolate sweetness and a little alcohol on the end.

2014 bottle shared by a friend. Pours clear brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate and some booze. Malt and chocolate flavor with some booze before a creamy finish.

Shared by thomashall and poured from 16-oz can. Pours a hazy burnt brown colored brew with a fast dissipating off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of chocolate and bourbon notes, some floral hops and some light coconut. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of toffee, chocolate, coconut, and a hint of bourbon. Finish is semi-sweet with a chocolate/toffee and light oaked bourbon aftertaste. More of a bourbon-ed stout than an imperial stout.

Dark brown color. Bourbon in the aroma and the flavor, palate seems thin. This is OK. From a can.

Can thanks to Tom! Deep brown pour with a small head. Nose full of dark chocolate. Some toasted coconut. Some boozy heat. Flavor is hot. Sweet chocolate and coconut. Oily but a bit thin. Still quite tasty.
