Draft at Fort Worth Flying Saucer. I’m not a bier de garde expert so grain of salt here...it was nice and drinkable but nothing special. I remember thinking there were wine and grape notes.
9/18/16. Can from SudsMcDuff, I believe. I still owe him a box and it’s been awhile. Shoot. Sorry, Suds! Amber pour with a small khaki head. Light spice aroma, some fruitiness, caramel, pale malts. Good flavor, light phenolics, hints of fruitiness, caramel. Not bad. rdixon77 (2835) - Georgia, USA - JAN 15, 2017
Thanks Danny and friend (DJ, I think). Unique Biere de garde. Apples, caramel, earthy, musty. Interesting stuff. GreatDane1632 (1169) - North Dakota, USA - MAY 15, 2015
Rated based on notes taken 19 May 2012 -- This beer was meh, but enjoyable. kaaduce (14) - Texas, USA - FEB 6, 2015
Poured from can, off white head quickly dispate to small film. Unpleasant bitter aroma. However better flavor surprisingly. Malty flavor with a sweetness and a nutty finish. Fairly thick in mouth with disappointing taste after swallow DarkStar87 (4) - , Texas, USA - JAN 6, 2015 does not count
Poured from a can into a tulip:
Pours with a moderately thick, light tan head that quickly dissipates, leaving behind some decent lacing. The color of the beer is an attractive, rusty dark Amber color. The nose is primarily fruity with a bit of a musty smell, and smells suspiciously like an American brown ale.
The taste is a combination of fruit, and some rather sour malts, a bit of hops, and a poorly disguised alcoholic bite. Almost bourbon-esque, or like a mediocre barleywine. Rather unpleasant, unfortunately. The finish is more of the same. On the other hand, it is reasonably thick on the tongue, and pretty filling. Not recommended.

It pours a slightly hazy deep amber with a frothy off-white head. The aroma is malt loaf, cereal, toffee, citrus (orange peel, lime), grassy hops, and peppery spices. Lovely. The mouthfeel is medium to thin, with restrained carbonation and a slightly watery body. It doesn’t quite help convey the aroma into the taste, so the flavors, especially the sugar-derived ones, are slightly weaker. The taste is moderately bitter and sweet. Citrus lingers, a bit like a lime cilantro pepper rub. he alcohol is only perceived as you’re finishing off the glass. Not too hefty, but very pleasant and tremendously drinkable. sonnycheeba (5988) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 4, 2014
Shared can. Pours hazy amber with thin, fizzy head. Aroma is caramel and bready malts, orange peel, and faint toast. Flavor is bready malt base, light toast, faint caramel, and some light pear and apricot esters. Light body and medium carbonation. MartinVanBeer (116) - Little Rock, Arkansas, USA - NOV 26, 2014
I'm a big fan of the style. Amber pour and a small white head. Delicate floral aroma and notes of apples. Toasted nuts and fresh harvest fruit. The flavors last forever. It's good but I wish it was a little more true to style

12 oz can pours brown with a off white head. Aroma of malts, bread and fruit. Taste is bread, caramel malts and raisins . slowrunner77 (12051) - Reno, Nevada, USA - AUG 26, 2014
Light barnyard and fruit on the nose. Getting hints of black licorice - unique in this style of brew. Nice brew and one I’d try again, but won’t seek out.
