I would rate this higher were the consistency better. Have had three 4pks and some were crisp and hoppy and extremely refreshing while a few seemed like they had been sitting around for a long time and starting to flocculate. Word is that an initial batch was awesome and close to an IPA rather than pale ale.
I’ll keep trying and hope they do as well. kappldav123 (6122) - GERMANY - JUL 11, 2008
Thanks to KAggie97 for the beer. The can looks simple, but good. The beer in the glass is quite dark, not much foam. Strong and modest alcoholic aroma. Tastes dry and strong, modest malty, a bit old. Scratchy-strong finish. Not bad! TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUL 10, 2008
Can from slimchill. Thanks! pours a pale copper color with a medium sized white head. nose is piney, a little citrus. Flavor is piney, with some malts. Well balanced and executed APA. Droptank (79) - Spring, Texas, USA - JUL 9, 2008
Wow, Pine belt never tasted so literal. Hints of pine, resinous and delicious. I am extremely impressed with this beer. Thick head, toasted hops and dark amber color are all you need to know this is something special. Different indeed, I urge all to try. Good Job guys....Gig em! emacgee (4698) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - JUL 6, 2008
Thanks to maltomeal. Pours a soft pale copper with a two finger creamy yellowish head. The nose is hoppy and citrusy, piney almost. Very nice nose. The flavor is citrusy, spicy hops, a tad watery, some diacetyl. Overall a nice pale ale, lightly waxy on the palate.

The color was light brown/orange. The head was creamy, thin, and white. The aroma was ripened fruit, hops, and sweet. The flavor was chlorine, hops, and waxy/bitter. The palate was average. The finish was waxy. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - JUL 4, 2008

16oz can acquired in trade with bu11zeye (thanks!). Poured a medium to deeper amber color with a huge sized (5 finger) off white head. Aromas of pine, toasted malts, caramel, and citrus. Tastes of caramel, lighter citrus, and lighter pine. Tastes a bit of a let down compared to the very nice aromas. Body on the thin and weaker side.
