3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Excited for #100!.....
This one pours an enticing copper/orange with just a hint of haze.
Plentiful pine aroma, with hints of bubblegum, lemon zest and alcohol soaked fruit.
The taste is pretty potent, with a wallop of heavy hops on the front end that pretty much stays around till the next drink. Not much in the way variation, this is all IPA....
The palate was more sticky and a bit more soapy than I prefer, but still drinkable. Washes down a bit slow, could have had a bit more carbonation.
At 9.2% abv, you certainly feel it by the end of the bottle!
Well, the first 100 ratings have been a pleasure....I have found that there is not a beer I dislike, just some I like more than others!
I find it hard to believe it took me so long to discover all the choices of great beer out there....the craft brew market is incredible right now.
Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy a good, cold Budweiser after mowing the lawn, but sometimes you just need something with more of a spectrum of flavors, hops and body.
Prosit my friends!
Beer, it’s the best damn drink in the world.
Sample at Hoof Hearted during the "Everybody Wants Some & Did We Just Become Best Fwendz? - Dual Can Release" event on 07/09/2017. Hazy orange-copper color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of grainy malt, hops and fruit. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and a bit of pine. The finish is mildly hoppy up front with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall. rosenbergh (11931) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 23, 2016
12 oz can. (Spec’s) Austin, TX.KenDawg (2) - Killeen, Texas, USA - AUG 12, 2016 does not count
Cloudy orangey amber color with a small white head.
Sweet fruity hops, sweetness, marmalade, strong sweet malt and mild bitterness in the aroma. The flavor is dark hops, sweetness, moderate bitterness and resin. Dark and sweet.
Scent a bit funky, like a bunch of yeast. Pours a nice cloudy caramel color. Looks like a nice IPA should. Taste is a bit bitter with an aftertaste that lingers. Not bad, but there are better IPAs out there. mR_fr0g (13977) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 13, 2016
