Hazy amber, thin white head. Fruity, Belgian yeast aroma. Saison-like flavor, citrusy and a slightly tangy finish. UXO (1896) - CANADA - FEB 2, 2016
Appearance: hazy medium gold with a short, short-lived off-white head, minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: floral, banana and clove, bready yeast, burned rubber. (4/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter, light peppery spice. (5/10) Palate: medium-light body, moderate-low carbonation, off-dry lightly spicy finish. (3/5)
Well, if that’s representative of the extinct (or nearly so) grisette style, I think I know why it went extinct. It’s not bad, as such, but it sure isn’t good. Hard to say whether it’s age or not, since the can isn’t dated. In the absence of a date code telling me this thing is past its best-by, all I can say is, don’t waste your time. 12oz can (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Trappist glass at 42°. Color is a very hazy gold with good carbonation and a nice tight white head. Aroma is a fruity Belgian yeast scent. It has a medium body and a smooth mouth feel. Flavor is yeasty biscuit, fruit and clove. After taste is slightly dry with light banana notes. Overall its a very good brew with nice Belgian notes. Pours a hazy blonde with a small head and some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is bubblegum and clove... it’s spicy with some husky malt character.
The flavor is floral and spicy with some mildly bitter bits. The beer is moderaltly dry and satisfying enough.
Can pours hazy orange with a thin white head. Yeast, wheat, citrus and a bit of spice. Perfect for washing down a little coal dust.

Dark orange pour. Quickly diminishing white head. Grapes and hay in the aroma. A bold tasting saison. Not bad

Hazy yellow orange... Aroma of light citrus, earthy grains, blonde malts... Flavor is light citrus, bready malts... Tastes like fizzy yellow beer... Just had a coffee porter... Ruined it, bummer, average anyways

Can that is different than the one pictured. This one says Walloon farm house style ale. Can pours hazy light gold. Nose Belgian spice, clove, slight bubblegum with just a hint of underlying funk. Taste spicy up front, reasonable clove and ester. Mid palate moderate sweet. Spicy finish. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 23, 2014
Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Yeast, some coriander, and spice on the nose with a little wheat; follows onto the palate. Not bad.
