Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours an orange-amber color with a one finger white-orange tinted head. The head is composed of big bubbly carbonation bubbles. It head fades slowly over time to leave a moderate level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is quite sweet overall with lots of caramel and a sweet corn syrup smell. Along with these aromas are some smells of bread and a bit of hop, mainly of a hay/grassy nature.
Taste – The taste begins sweet and bready with lots of biscuit and bready malt flavors mixed with caramel and a bunch of adjunct corn sweetness. Although the taste loses a little bit of its sweetness toward the end of the taste, it is still very sweet overall. While the sweetness lessens in strength ever so lightly, the breadiness gains more strength. Toward the end some hop flavors of a citrus and earthy nature come to the tongue, leaving a very lightly hopped, sweet and bready flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is quite thick and creamy with a carbonation level that is on the more average to slightly lighter side. The thick body is quite nice for all the bready and lighter hop flavors of the brew making for a mouth coating feel and really allowing these flavors to linger and be sensed. While very nice for the bready flavors, the thicker body is a little too much for the sweeter corn flavors in the brew making this flavor a bit too overpowering.
Overall – Sorta like a thicker and creamier malt liquor with a bit more hop than normal. Like a high end malt liquor. Not too bad if that is what you are in the mood for actually.

Bottle at Olympen, april 22nd 2014. Clear dark golden body with a small white head. Herbal aroma with bread and peach, taste is mild malty, lots of grass, some alcohol in finish, which doesn’t to any favour. Sharp bitter palate with a hint of peach in aftertaste. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 21, 2014

Clear medium yellow amber color with a average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, earthy, vintage - oxidide. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, wood, oxidide, fruity, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle pour. Clean amber with a finger of slightly off-white head. Roasted malts and faint raspberry on nose. A general earthiness. Taste follows. Full body. Just a little bit of vinegar. On the low end for carbonation. The high abv is hid well. Drinks like a steam beer. desrochesb (40) - Quebec, CANADA - MAY 30, 2014
on dirait une lager avec un haut taux d’alcool, la carbonisation est faible mais tout de même rafraichissant jw0406 (1276) - atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 19, 2014
