Tap @ C4, Odense. Pours golden with a small creamy head. Citrus, bready malts, grain and some dust. Medium bodied. conway (2210) - - DEC 14, 2013
Bottle. Clear copper with a tight 1 finger off white head. Aroma is bready and grassy. Taste follows suit and has some nice interplay between fruity sweetness and some hop bitterness. Some spices in the finish. Body is a little odd. A little too thick and rich for the style. Has good carbonation but just doesn't come across as crisp as I would like. Pretty surprised how enjoyable this was.

On tap at Christian Firtal. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of fruity, citrus, and herbal hops, some bready malt and a touch of dusty yeast. Sweet, malty and fruity flavour with a touch of alcohol showing. beerbaaron (2046) - Arizona, USA - DEC 8, 2013
Pours a clear, light amber. Large, fluffy, creamy white head with thick lace. Aroma of light toasty grains, light earthy, touch of sweetness. Medium body, creamy, toasty, earthy, fair dryness. shadey (2166) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 4, 2013
12oz bottle. Bright dark orange pour with light soapy head. Aroma is crisp and clean, with subtle hops and mild malt. Smells like a good steam beer with elevated alcohol - exactly what it is. Flavor are similar, but with a stiff alcohol zing at the end as it warms. Really interesting concept. commonmac (1345) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 24, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2014 Bottle acquired by unknown means. A pitch black appearance light on head. Not much aroma present but closer to malt than hops. Smoother than expected and doesn’t overwhelm with roasted malt or other traditional dark beer traits. Kind of reminds me of a dark Belgian which should serve as a compliment. A little light on flavor and more bitter than desired at the end. Still a good winter or Mpls fall option. Great brewery but they flex their muscles more on other efforts. Single bottle from Lemon Tree. Pours a light amber color with a bubbly head that settles into suds. Slightly woody smell, light malt nose.Taste has malts and noticeable alcohol. Hops are pretty bitter, yet medicinal. The bottle has a DOB of 4/29/13, so it could be hops, or it could be going phenolic. I still like it, though. Drinking it down just builds up the hops. Like a slap in the face.
