Creamy. Burnt but little coffee or choc. Smooth, really smooth. Made me happy to see Dom appreciate some hops tonight. Shame I couldn’t get hold of a Rodenbach though. mikesaum (711) - Newark, Ohio, USA - JAN 20, 2013
pours darkest brown with a nice tan head, nice lacing. aroma is milk chocolate and roasty malts. very nice flavor, very sweet and smooth chocolate flavor, lactose sugar is for sure noticed, good palate. FatTony (188) - Augusta, Georgia, USA - JAN 19, 2013
12 ounce bottle- poured out a nice opaque reddish-brown with a moderate head. Aroma was a nice brown sugar and malt. Taste was brown sugar with a strong alcohol back. Palate was smooth and creamy, very nice. Just one question, Southern Tier Brewing is in...New York? This Georgia man finds that mildly disturbing... kjorup (24) - DENMARK - JAN 19, 2013
12 fl.oz. bottle.
Pours dark brown with a light tan thin head.
Aroma is subtle chocolaty and a little sour. Palate is medium body with soft carbonation. Sweet and bitter aftertaste.
Taste is shallow of roasted malts and chocolate. Slightly sour and bitter with vague notes of hops.
Overall a very light and easy milk stout without much complexity (or taste). Not great but very drinkable. dagimp (1008) - Philly, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 18, 2013
Bought as part of a mixed six at wegmans. Date on bottle is 3-19-12 so it's a good 10 months old. Brown sugar, cocoa and dirt aroma. Very md head which slowly dissipates into nothing. Very light body for a stout of this abv. Taste is very hardcore cocoa and espresso. A solid stout. Glad I tried it but nothing I'd buy again.

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus. Opaque pitch black, small light brown head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell and taste malts, roastyness and some sweetness. Slightly a hint of coffee. Soft carbonation, low to medium body. Expected a bit more of this but it’s still a nice beer. DutchDrebus (6030) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JAN 15, 2013
Bottle @ home. Opaque black with a lacing beige head. Smells slightly roasty, chocolate, sweet. Tastes roasty, coffee, chocolate, sweet. Very decent but not shockingly good. Medium body, soft carbo. LinusStick (3473) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 15, 2013
A delicious sweet stout. Haven’t had one of these in a while. Aroma was decent. Chocolate, roasted malt and milk. Pretty sweet. Pour was a deep dark black with a small splotchy tan head. Taste was delicious. Sweet and milky with a perfect balance of bitter roasted malt and chocolate. Nice carbonation. Very good beer. Not cloying or overly sweet. Just enough of everything. msalm (59) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 14, 2013
just okay...lacks complexity. weak head, light nose, body is soft with a lightly abrasive exit...the 7.5 is well masked by sweet chocolate notes and the faintest whiff of fruit and coffee...really, a forgettable experience. Thewade (340) - USA - JAN 14, 2013
Sweet stout. Nice body. Enjoyed this Southern Tier offering. Recommend this for those who don’t like a boozy imperial stout, but also don’t like a watered down weak stout.
