4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles.
Aroma: light, chocolate, malt aroma.
Appearance: large, rocky, light-brown, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Dark-brown/black body.
Taste: lightly sweet and chocolatey initial flavor and lightly bitter and smokey finish with average duration.
Palate: medium bodied with creamy texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: excellent. I’d like to try it from the tap.
Awesome stout from Southern Tier that poured a pitch-black color. The light tan head was a little lacking, but left some decent, sticky lacing around the inside of the glass. I got plenty of sweet cream and a touch of vanilla in the nose. The body was velvetly smooth, making this beer deliciously drinkable. There was a good dose of milk and sweetness in the flavors, along with a slight hint of coffee beans, sugar, licorice and dark fruits. This is a dangerous beer, given it's alcohol content combined with its supreme drinkability. commonmac (1367) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 8, 2017
Bottle from Elevated and consumed on 5745 party night with a bunch of folks including commonshawn. Pitch black coffee with quickly dissipating tan head. Nose is chocolate and maybe a hint of espresso. A light dark fruit presence noted. Taste is milky and rich and smooth. Comment was made that it featured some Belgian qualities. Coffee notes but more like a chocolate covered espresso bean or a chocolate covered raisin. Really enjoyable finish. Delicious. SolarSam (108) - Interlaken, New York, USA - NOV 8, 2017
Eight months old before I bought it. Planning? Or slow beer management?
Hasn’t affected it’s quality much. Rich dark and full as you wish. Probably the first of Southern Tier’s products to bring me this much satisfaction. Yum.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2017 Stouts are my favorite. This was good, but it wasn't as strong as I would like. It has a pleasant chocolate taste with very little bitterness. tapefuzz (924) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 20, 2017

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2017 Draft at Macs Tavern. Opaque very dark brown/black watery stout. Tan foam. Medium-dark roasty malts. Cold coffee. Cocoa nibs. Vanillin. Carob. Hazelnuts. Raisins. Glossy charcoal briquette finish. Would be so much better on Nitro. Allow that this may be a poor draft. LetsGoState (913) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 25, 2017
Appearance is deep brown. Taste is sweet yet bitter with some roasted coffee. Overall very good.
