Not quite an imperial, but certainly not a standard India pale ale. Our double IPA is a hop lovers dream. Citrusy and clean with an incredible finish.

Murky golden pour with a nice and creamy white head. Very hoppy aroma. Medium bodied. Resinous hoppy flavor, pine and grapefruit. Spicy finish I wasnt expecting. Lingering hop bitterness. This is a pretty straight foward and tasty IPA.

Bottled 355ml. Ordered at www.erzbiershof.ch. Grassy, peppery nose which is reminiscent of quince and fresh cut grass. Surprisingly dry and peppery with a very dry bitter finish. Flawless and rather pleasant.

Bottle, poured a clear golden with a small head, quickly faded. Sticky lace. Aroma was of like candied citrus fruits, a light sweetness mixed with some fruity hops. Flavors were similar with a big lingering bitterness from start to finish. Mouthfeel was somewhat oily, slick, carbonation was on the low end. Super enjoyable brew worthy of its name. Solid stuff.

Capa (3192) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Clear, pale copper color with a thin white head. Citrus, floral, and earthy hops in the aroma. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavor has a lot of earthy, citrus, light pine hops, along with a decent amount of sweet malts, too. FInish has a decent bitter bite to it. Solid beer.

Clear light amber with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly leaving some minor lacing. Aroma of citrus and pale malt out of the gate. Breadinees and grapefruit soon follow as it warms up a bit. Body seems rather thin for the style. A balanced mix of citrus and grapefruit with pale bready malts that finishes up mildly abrasive and bitter. I like my DIPAs, this one was a bit of a let down. More APA than DIPA.

Thanks to poorhouse for the share. Pours clear gold with a pillowy white head. Nose is big malt for this color. Has a great citrus and pine character with a relatively light body. Flavor is Similar with a relatively light body for this beer. Very good.

Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Bottled. Poured clear medium-golden with a sticky cap of whitish head. The aroma picked up bright lemongrass and grapefruit notes over soft pale malts.. some biscuity character as it warmed up.. spicy.. decently put together, but not great. The flavor found some fruity meat and pale malts at the core.. dry, bitter pine and grapefruit bitterness around.. lesser-descript bitterness on the finish. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate.. grainy.. just an OK feel.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow/golden with a white head. Decent lacing. Nice sweetish pine hop aroma with candy-like overtones. Flavour is sweetish and bitter pine hops. Pretty good at first, but soon an annoying alcohol note in the background tries to force its way through; and the bitterness becomes too insisting in an unpleasant way. I usually like lots of bitterness, but its doesnt really work here. Its not really bad, but its not great either. Bitter hop finish with a liquorice touch; same bitterness problem here. Overall pretty good aroma and flavour as such, but could/should be better well-balanced and the bitterness could do with an overhaul. 09.09.10.
