sweet apricot, sweet saccharine, warming feeling, great draft! billb (245) - Acworth, Georgia, USA - FEB 5, 2011
Nothing too notable in the aroma for a double IPA. I was expecting a bit more. Pretty color. Very smooth and no hints of alcohol for such a relatively high abv style. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 5, 2011
Bottle. Golden color, white head. Hoppy creamy aroma, fruity notes. Hoppy grassy flavor, milk and metal. Not very much taste, kinda disappointing. BigBeer45 (1543) - Michigan, USA - FEB 1, 2011
has a mostly clear gold pour with some yellow mixed about, made an initial one finger or so high of mostly white bubbles and a little faint off-white bubbles, effervescence is light in this ale, left a little spotted lacing on the glass when swirled, the lacing appears to get better as the ale warms up in the glass(?), there was a little loose sediment on the bottom of the bottle,
the aromas were melon, orange and lemon fruit with grapefruit citrus and a little lemon zest, light toasted malt and light bread in the background, white sugar sweetness, the hops were piney, floral and grassy, also, the hops have a faint zesty, herb like touch to them,
the flavors of this ale were of light malt – toasted malt and bread, a light malt sweetness,
hops have a decent bitterness, grassy, piney and citrus hops,
Mouth feel is medium, thin for a IPA2 drink,
an easy to drink IPA2 ale.

Purchased at Breeze Thru in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed with a good friend while watching the NHL all star game. Appearance golden cloudy with a rich white head. Aroma rather grassy, equal balance of malt and hops, unique and pleasant aroma. Taste abundance of hops, creamy. All in all a really good dIPA.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2011 pretty sure this was an old bottle. the hop flavour was almost gone. im pretty disappointed i bought the whole 6 pack.
re-rate with fresh bottle:
nice hoppy aroma. fruity/citrus hop flavour with semi bitter finish. not as hoppy as expected but still a fairly good beer. Dorwart (2598) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - JAN 30, 2011
Thin bright white head of fine bubbles. Crisp aroma with some sweat socks, pineapple and some mild cheddar cheese. Really strange aroma. Color is a clear gold. Very malty and doughy mouthfeel and flavor. Loads of soft malts, corn bread, dough, light bready malts, a hint of lemon and some cereal grains. Bitterness is still present but is somewhat masked but the malts. Finishes grainy and pasty. Not a very good example of the IIPA style. Thanks to etowneraser for this one. alexsdad06 (10486) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 30, 2011
Draft @ Dutch’s. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma had a nice blend of hops featuring citrus and other fruits, resins, and some earthy notes. There are some biscuity malts as a base. The flavor has a pale malt base with lightly toasted biscuits. The hops center on resins, citrus and tropical fruits with some earthy bitterness. The finish is moderately bitter and somewhat dry. Medium to medium plus body. hawthorne00 (3992) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 29, 2011
Bottle. Light amber with a fading white head. Aroma has grapefruit, dishsoap, peach, oranges, pine. Taste has a very little biscuity malt, oranges, a touch of peach and firm bitterness. A little pepper along with various citrus flavours in a dry and quite bitter finish. dwaggs2 (1297) - Jefferson City, Missouri, USA - JAN 28, 2011
Bottle. Poured a hazy yellowish color with a big pillowy white head. This is the only area this beer is really missing. Aroma was amazing. Grapefruit, very earthy, spruce, pine and hops. Flavor really exploded. Hops, hops and more hops. Pine and floral up front, some hop bitter in the aftertaste. Malty backbone. Some don’t like this beer, that’s good, more for me because this beer was great.
