Not quite an imperial, but certainly not a standard India pale ale. Our double IPA is a hop lovers dream. Citrusy and clean with an incredible finish.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2017 Good looking beer, a caramel orange with a nice white head. Good lacing on the glass. Good hoppy aroma. Tastes great! Bright hoppy flavor with mango and grapefruit. Nice malty sweetness as well. Exceeded my expectations

Bottle from Total Wine. Pretty fantastic double ipa -- despite Total Wines notorious institutional neglect for their shelves. What we have here: candied mango, papaya, & nice bitter hop back end. A highly drinkable imperial despite the higher voltage. A few cold ones of these could make a miserable evening shine brighter.

Keg Half Pint at White Horse, Parsons Green, London in Aug 2011 - Golden/Amber in colour. Very Hoppy; piney resinous and grassy hops. Fruity; grapefruit and orange citrus, peaches. Malty; solid malt backbone, caramel. Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Sweet fruity hoppy leading to a bitter dry finish. Lovely Double IPA! (2011-08-06)

I love the Aroma of this beer. The hops almost knock you off your bar stool they are so pungent. A little bit to much on the malt side but not by much. Hops are very citrusy in this one. I definitely get the earthiness of the yeast which really add some complexity to this double IPA. Another high quality beer from Southern Tier.

An aroma of citrus and floral hops, pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. A floral hop taste with a hint of citrus an oily feel and a bitter hop finish.

Clear gold, adequate fluffy white head. Nose is piney at first, then a ton of citrus and some pine with traces of strawberries, lemon ice, light caramel & toasty malts. Dominant flavor is pine, orange with trace of vanilla notes. Finish is bitter but also has a bunch of mango sweetness - maybe the perfect blend. Lingering bitter, caramel, and mango finish. Very solid offering.

IPA com amargor um pouco mais acentuado. Paladar bem balanceado que no deixa perceber o seu teor alcolico mais elevado.

2XIPA is something of an East Coast modern classic. Its not difficult to see why. Its coloring, aromatics, American cone varietals, and hop-forward flavor all point clearly to the West Coast brewing tradition. Aroma is floral and citrusy with hardly any malt to be found. Flavor has all the staples of the American IPA of the present. Pine, grapefruit, and orange peel. Plenty bitter, pretty crisp. Very satisfying.
