Date tasted: July 25, 2013 ... Glassware: La Fin du Monde snifter... Occasion: enjoying an evening of Strat, music and good beer....Appearance: slightly hazy, lightly golden body with cascading effervescence; head is snow white, snow deep and beautifully laced; quite an attractive ale out the box... Aroma: the bottle boasts four separate hops varieties--and the nostril is bombarded by harsh pine cone and soft department store perfume counter, almost lilac and lavender; secondary citrus and grapefruit sneak in... Palate: as expected, a full-bodied, full-on attack at the teeth with a bit of warmth at the end; second and third sips ease the intensity, but the warmth remains...Taste: as promised, a near-mad balance of hops and malts, with the bitterness being more palpable yet not as put-offish as some maltreated double IPAs...Overall: After a rabid camp discussion on the virtues of the double IPA, I made this part of a build-a-six and am not disappointed with the selection...not mentioned among the thirty or so we pleasantly recalled, this beer gets the taste buds titillated while bringing enough disguised alcohol to only need a few for the weeknight...recommended and part of the double IPA discussion for doing much well...
Very hoppy with a smooth crisp finish. I would recommend this beer to any hop lover who enjoys a bold IPA.

New for me. Excellent IPA in every way. Mine was canned and still tasted nice. By the third one felt no pain. It is hoppy so you need to like that taste. Smooth from start to finish. Compares to Yard’s but is a tad nicer . I will try their other beers soon RONCOD (247) - Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 4, 2017
Pours a clear yellow with a medium white head. Citrus aroma and very hoppy. This was just what I needed today. Rex_Remes (204) - Bonyhad, HUNGARY - APR 28, 2017
(12oz bottle) AROMA: roasted corn, smoke, caramel, warm/dark hops. APPEARANCE: medium yellow, hint of brown/Amber, good head, nice visible carbonation. TASTE: toasted malt, coffee/chocolate, bran, some herbiness and roasted veggies.. PALATE: solid medium body, soft/creamy touch to go with heartiness, nice balance between front and back, malt and hops. OVERALL: solid imperial IPA, balance leans towards roasty malts as opposed to in your face hops, more of a robust ale than an India pale ale, alcohol is noticeable but not overwhelming, I like the warmth and heartiness. Would make a good winter ale. Pintofjoe29 (43) - Dingman Ferry, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 21, 2017

Bue en bouteille. Blonde dorée. Grosse mousse blanche légère. Nez agrumes typique. Palais corpulent, equilibré, complexe, très agréable. Résineuse, citronnée. Finale longue et amère. Cool one ! BrewBroFla (17) - - MAR 25, 2017
Certainly lives up to it’s billing as a hop lovers dream. Bottle from Total Wine. Pretty fantastic double ipa -- despite Total Wine’s notorious institutional neglect for their shelves. What we have here: candied mango, papaya, & nice bitter hop back end. A highly drinkable imperial despite the higher voltage. A few cold ones of these could make a miserable evening shine brighter. john44 (3062) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 25, 2017
Keg Half Pint at White Horse, Parsons Green, London in Aug 2011 - Golden/Amber in colour. Very Hoppy; piney resinous and grassy hops. Fruity; grapefruit and orange citrus, peaches. Malty; solid malt backbone, caramel. Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Sweet fruity hoppy leading to a bitter dry finish. Lovely Double IPA!

I love the Aroma of this beer. The hops almost knock you off your bar stool they are so pungent. A little bit to much on the malt side but not by much. Hops are very citrusy in this one. I definitely get the earthiness of the yeast which really add some complexity to this double IPA. Another high quality beer from Southern Tier.
