(Bottle). This was the perfect choice after decorating the Christmas Tree. Bright aroma, rich with spices and pine. Mahogany complexion with thin head. The flavor is unique. Festively spiced with understated alcohol. A perfect seasonal selection. I think this is way underrated within RB. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of the most affordable spiced holiday ales out there. I always have a six pack in the fridge during the holidays. Spices are right up front in both the aroma and initial taste followed by a peppery sweet finish.

Pours a rich copper color. Spicy cinnamon aroma. Clean tasting malty goodness with a hint of more spice in the aftertaste. Overall, a nice beer for the holidays. Thanks to Kevin for sharing.

Tasted on February 7, 2013: A: Pours a very dark amber, Kind of a maple color. Barely any retention. S: Numerous spices right off the bat. A faint hint of orange and some cinnamon. No fig. T: Mouth full of spices. Picking up mainly cinnamon and nutmeg. Very malty in the beginning and a slight fig note in the end. Not very sweet in the end. M: Wouldn’t go as far as smooth, but a good sipping beer. I have a medium heaviness left on my tongue. O: A very unique and good spiced winter ale. Enjoyed the cinnamon and nutmeg. Just wish there was a little more to it. Serving type: bottle

Nice dark brown / red. Plenty of spice. Slight head. Seems a little boozy.. But it might be because I have a cold.

Pours a deep chestnut brown with a slight head. Aroma of nutmeg, orange, cinnamon.....very nice aroma.....Taste is a spice bomb, so many assaulting the tongue at once.....nutmeg, coriander, orange peel, touch of lemon, bit os cinnamon, pepper??, sweet maltiness and ending with a hop bitterness. Interesting as a one off, but that might be enough for one night.
