Aroma is highly spiced reminding me of a holiday spiced candle on my grandma mantle in 1993. The appearance is beautiful dark ruby red like a pointcedia next to the candle on the mantle with small head minimal lacing. Average mouthfeel. Overall a good representation of a spiced beer but not my favorite with overwhelming spices. chandler0201 (650) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 22, 2015
Dark brown with a decent head and a lot of lacing on the pour. Aroma of a lot of malts and spices, mostly nutmeg and just general nuttiness. Flavor was more nutmeg, allspice, and some slight citrus hops though very muted. Slightly spicy and watery finish. Video review here:

deep red color; spicy aroma - citrus, dark fruit, cinnamon, and an underlying caramel malt; lots of spice notes in the flavor - figs, citrus, cinnamon, nutmeg, mollases; fairly bitter; caramel malt background Slipstream (2719) - USA - JAN 18, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2015 A well balanced and very enjoyable Christmas season ale. Plenty flavorful, with clove, cinnamon, allspice, and figs. Sweet and spicy at first, but the flavor dries out some on the palate. This one hits the goldilocks zone for me! Other people must have thought so too because it quickly sold out everywhere I saw it. Excellent brew - another fine ST release. Arcadia (61) - DeLand, Florida, USA - JAN 17, 2015
Bottle from ABC. Pours a dark muddy brown with a thin off-white head with some fantastic lacing. Aromas are light roasted malts and some citrus hops - mostly orange, which comes through very nicely on the taste. Really sweet throughout with a nice long finish; pretty full bodied and oily. Quite good. Acquire.

Ruddy pour, minimal offwhite head. Aroma of figs, fruit, spices, and pine. Flavor is spruce, figs, orange, spices, cloves, nutmeg. Christmas tree in a bottle. Tasty, if a little too sweet. trapped (3786) - New York, TURKEY - JAN 13, 2015
Draught at Blind Pig. Dark amber with reddish tint, medium creamy beige head, strong spicy aroma with cinnamon and nutmeg flavors, low carbonation, very spicy taste with strong cinnamon presence, long finish with a bitter aftertaste. Very glogg-like indeed! It was too un-beer-like for me. GreatDane1632 (1174) - North Dakota, USA - JAN 11, 2015
Rated based on notes taken on 26 Dec 2014 -- Sample poured from the bottle. A very well spiced winter ale, but other than that a little unremarkable. lownote (585) - Austin, Alabama, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Poured from bottle into a tulip glass l. Light brown with hints of red with a thick brownish head. Smells spicy. And a little malty. Taste is a punch of spices: cinnamon, Christmas like stuff. Get a bit of citrus but it’s light. Not sweet. Thin mouth feel. Sharp carbonation. Just feels overly spiced. chucklemation (1796) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - JAN 7, 2015
Pours a dark mahogany with a small white head. Aroma is lots of spices and some caramel. Flavor is sweet fig and spices. The spices are heavy, but don’t overpower the beer. This is very well done and tasty.
