UPDATED: MAR 19, 2015 Deep chestnut color, with a white head. Aroma is ginger and spice, and very effervescent, like a ginger beer.Taste is the same, but with malt, like a liquid gingerbread cookie. Christmas in a glass! 6pack $10 Shot (557) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - DEC 25, 2014
Bottle. Pours reddish brown with a very thin head. Heavy aromas of cloves, cinnamon and caramel. Flavors are cloves, brown sugar, cinnamon and ginger. Finishes with a hint of orange and chocolate. Lively mouthfeel. Overall, pretty nice. AKORN (220) - Virginia, USA - DEC 24, 2014
Pours amber with a nice head. Ginger, vanilla, nutmeg and wintery spices aroma. Similar to taste with a bit of bitterness. Good beer JStax (7125) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - DEC 22, 2014
Draft pour into a pint glass. Pours a clear amber color with a beige head of foam. Good retention and lacing. The aroma is slice and astringent bitterness. Taste is more of that. Bitter finish with medium body and medium carbonation. I just dont really care for the style, I suppose. CamdenD (1197) - Madrid, SPAIN - DEC 22, 2014
Certainly has some spice. Almost rosemary-like on the nose. Christmas tree later. It’s a bit cloying at the end.

Pours a clear red-butterscotch. Aroma is lightly spiced. Flavor is clearly spiced - cardamom, nutmeg, hints of clove, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla. I taste citrus pith, but not specifically orange. Figs? They may add to the richness but not specific flavor. The spice is nicely balanced and rides on a nice medium-light ale base. The spice carries into a long finish. Surprisingly satisfying. Nice work ST. PhatB420 (841) - Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 20, 2014
12oz into a leffe glass. Pours a dark brown amber cola. Lacing is small, thin and there. Aroma of Xmas spice galore, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, orange, and even a nutcracker. Taste of the same, orange dominate, quite a sweet malty prevalence, a good hearty friendly brew for the season with a nice kick with the gracious abv. Take a bottle, pass it down. nothingbutIPAs (59) - Hillsborough, USA - DEC 18, 2014
just not my style. beer taste like a Christmas beer should, lots of spices and I think a little orange is in there. others would probably like this more than me. just too spicy and not enough hops for my liking Pumpkin87 (248) - - DEC 18, 2014
Pours an attractive chestnut with red-orange undertone, tan medium-body head quickly disappears.
Big spice and orange peel on the nose; that’s really big spice, almost like sniffing a ground pile of cardamom, ginger, clove and cinnamon.
On the tongue, a burst of orange peel oil very briefly balances the almost dusty dry spice. But the nice initial mouthfeel quickly gets overwhelmed by the harsh spices, which seem thrown in rather than mixed.
There’s what seems like a nice ale underneath, and as dry as the spicing is it doesn’t entirely eliminate the smooth beery element.
But if this is supposed to be glögg, it tastes more like dumping the spice rack. And the poor figs! Not one survived.
I expect better from Southern Tier. BiddleBrau (1221) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2014
Bottle. Dark amber quick head. Nice seasonal spice aroma. Full palate but flavor starts to dirty up as this warms up.
