355mL thanks to BlackIPA! Thanks dude. Pours clear, deeper mahogany red, no sediment. Thick, powerful yellow foam. Good retention. Webby to soapy lacing. Nose is heavy fall and Christmas spice. Moves to more lemon, black tea, tea leaves. Pine forest, christmas scented home. Taste is thicker, as expected with ST, a lot of pie crust, cinnamon, nutmeg, no sticky sweetness surprisingly. Pretty decent stuff. One of the more drinkable ST beers in a style I would have never guessed. Palate is a bit black tea, some tree bark, camphor. My rating: 3.5 Fiance rating: 3.8

12oz bottle. Strong spice aroma up front. I wish there was a bit more hearty malt to balance it out, it’s pretty much all spice here. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and etc. Bitter taste, with a strong spice bite. Some honey, orange peel. Dark, clear red color, minimal khaki head. Only a couple loose dots of lace. Dry texture, medium body, lighter carbonation. It does get better as it sits and warms though

Clear dark woodsy amber. Nose is robustly spiceful with some coriander, cinnamon, chai, tea, lemon zest, and curry powder. Weird intrinsic aroma. The taste is warm and spicy with big earthy malt undertones, built upon by chai spice and something like nutmeg and cinnamon, rustic caramel, and ginger. All over the place.

Bottle. Pours amber with a beige head. Sweet malts, ginger and other spices, lighter toasted notes, and light fruity notes. Good stuff.

[7455-20150804] Bottle. Fragrant allspice cake aroma. Clear, red amber body with a medium-lasting creamy tan head. Boozy cake spice and toasted green leaf hops flavour. Medium-full body. Interesting. (8/3/7/3/14) 3.5

Smells pretty decent. A big improvement from the Great Lakes Christmas I had earlier. Aromas of ginger and lots of clove. Pours red clear with a little lacing. Palate is watery but spices are well integrated. Taste isnt overly sweet. Works well. On tap at Blue Monk.

Bottle to snifter. Looks solid; amber with light beige lacing. Smells of sweet malt and spices. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Alright.

11/12/12. 12oz bottle from Grassroots. Clear brown/red pour with a small khaki head that fades to a ring and doesn’t lace much. Big sweet, spiced aroma with brown sugar, molasses, and brown sugar... it reminds me of cookies or cake or something. Sweet, spiced flavor as well, again with fruitiness, but mostly spice... again reminding me of cake or something. I’m torn. This is a little weird and a bit too "holiday" for me, and yet, I’m kinda digging it. Not bad!

Bottle at clockwork’s Dec 8th, 2012 tasting. Pours a deep amber body with no head. Aroma is spice, nutmeg and faint cinnamon. Mouthfeel is light with the cinnamon coming through a bit more in addition to flavors of nutmeg, sweet malt, and light cocoa.

Bottle. Poured a clear copper color with a very small off-white head. Aroma was heavy on the Christmas spices - lots of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg. Flavor had notes of ginger, with cinnamon and nutmeg.
