Bottle from Beer and Wine. Dark amber body with faint tan head. Nose is sweet, spicy, peppery. Taste is alcy, malts, caramel, spices. Quite refresing and clean texture. Peppery and cookies in the finish. Enjoyable. stevoj (5878) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 17, 2014
Aroma of pine forest, color is ruby with thin beige head. Somewhat soapy taste, piney notes, but above not readily apparent. Interesting take on a holiday beer.

12 oz. Clear copper with a lasting small spit of bubbles. Nose is nutmeg, sharp cardamom and clove, and maybe some spruce resin. Taste is a big overdose of cardamom, clove, licorice and other spices. Long after taste shows some nice hints of citrus, resin and molasses and is the only tolerable part of the beer. Unfortunately the front taste is such a spice bomb that it couldn’t even be blended into another beer to save them both. Worst winter seasonal ever. Bad label, standard longneck. Clear, ruddy, tea-colored beer; not much head. Spicy, malty aroma. Overly spiced when cold - a bit ham-handed on the nutmeg perhaps - so let this one warm up. Woody-sweet malts, dry caramel. Spice and alcohol burn at the end of a medium heavy body. Faint chocolate notes towards the end, implied vanilla. Not bad, if you’re around a bonfire. 12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours deep amber with a thick, beige head. Aroma of spices and fruit cake, plus a little caramel malts and floral notes. Flavor the same. Average texture. Interesting, but not for me.

Pours an opaque brown from the bottle with dissipating, frothy tan head and light lacing. Aroma of spice, pine, and roasted malt. Taste follows, complex but not overwhelming. Goes down very smooth, with hints of cinnamon and dark chocolate and fruits on the back end. Much better than I was expecting. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 8, 2012
12 oz bottle from ABC Liquors in Spring Hill. Pours a hazy copper brown with a tan head. Nose is gingerbread with hints of allspice, pepper, and yeast. Flavor is gingerbread with some pepper, some spice, and some toasted malt. Light to medium in body and nice with a strange yeastiness to it.

Dark copper color with a very small head. Aroma of cardamom and ginger. Flavor is mostly cardamom, nutmeg and some cinnamon. Fairly malty. chinchill (5377) - South Carolina, USA - DEC 31, 2014
On tap at Yardhouse.
Deep red-brown with a head that soon reduced to a ring. Minimal lacing.
Both the aroma and the flavor reflect a heavy use of nutmeg. There are some other spices in here too, but the overall spicing level is just too high, largely masking the malts. hotstuff (5279) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 17, 2016
Rated on 02-16-2016 (Bottle) The appearance is a small creamy, smooth beige head with a long retention, amber transparent body, very fizzy carbonation, and spotty lacing. The aroma presents spicy, cinnamon, semi-sweet, caramel malt, and some nutmeg. The flavor is very spicy, ginger, some alcohol, caramel malt, sweet, and some dark fruit. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. A very quaffable beer that is quite spicy tasting which was a bit too much for my liking. It is a beer worth trying.
