COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tangier has inspired thousands of legendary stories. It is a land that has fallen under Roman, Arab and Portuguese rule, and it’s home to legends tall and small. It is written that before his battle with the giant Antaeus, Hercules rested in a nearby cave. It is said that the city is a haven of spying and espionage. The city is an enigma with a history unlike any other and it’s a worthy namesake of our 2XTangier. A Double India Pale Ale with spicy citrus aromas and stone fruit flavors. These flavors, with the addition of lightly roasted malts and brilliant hop bitterness, make 2XTangier a beverage as refreshing as it is exotic. 2XTangier is brewed as a stronger, bolder ale than its older brother, Tangier. It shares the same synergy between tangerine peel and spicy, citrusy, Mosaic hops. Enjoy 2XTangier in celebration of your epic adventure.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 15, 2017
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark orange copper color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was citric, perfumey and a touch herbal hops. The flavor was sweet and yeasty with notes of bread and fruity hops. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Alcohol well contained. Solid

Bottle to tulip, the appearance was a burnt golden color with a little white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light trickling lace. The aroma had some stale cracker-like malts playing with some grapefruit sweet to bitter hops. Some light hop spice. The flavor was moderately sweet through the blend of the prior mentioned aromas. Malty sort of aftertaste. Finish was a bit sticky. The palate was medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, not really a standout DIPA for me, perhaps do-able in a pinch.

Aroma is bready malts, spices and mild tangerine. The flavor is tangerine, hops/hop resin, spices, bready malts and an alcoholic/bitter/very slightly sour finish. Old, so not completely objective, but still decent really.

Dogbrick (13560) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 15, 2016
This beer is a clear yellow-gold color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus rind, dank hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

12oz bottle from Spirits Manahawkin. Poured a clear syrupy deep bodied amber honey body with a smaller frothy way off white head. Aroma is fruity, pineapple, stone fruit, light grains. Flavor is a bit sweet from under attenuation but still interesting. Some tangerine meat, lime zest, stone fruit, tropical fruits, light toast. Medium body, sticky, lighter carbonation.
