Transfer from BA review on 7-15-12- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a straw yellow color with one finger white head. The head fades relatively fast to leave only a very light amount of lacing. Smell – The aroma is heaviest citrus and spice. There is a good presence of orange as well as some nice aromas of clove and cardamom. Mixed with these aromas are lighter aromas of yeast and banana with a wheaty bread smell. Taste – The taste begins on the wheatier side with notes of citrus sweetness. The wheat bread and citrus orange flavors are soon meet with notes of yeast and some cardamom more towards the middle of the taste. As the taste advances some of the citrus orange transitions to a slightly more lemon flavor and is accompanied notes of clove and yeast coming to the tongue at the end. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the lighter to medium side with a slightly higher than average carbonation level. Very average and fitting. Overall – It is quite easy to drink and has some good flavors. Makes for a tasty session.

A dark straw color with little in way of a foam head. It lingers into a little wispiness. Some haziness and a little carbonation. Slight hop aroma and a bit of malt. Mildly bright and citrusy sweet and dry. Thin bodied. Some lacing around glass is present. Reminds me a little of Magic Hats # 9 in a way, but without the apricot essence. Not a bad beer. An excellent beer for the style, although I’m in favor of banishing this style of beer to some far away place forever. Drink well my friends

(trade w/OlKing) - Small white head. Cloudy golden body. Nondescript aroma. Somewhat wheat character in the flavor. But, if I did a blind taste I might think it’s a Pale Ale instead. Bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad, not not necessarily hugely great.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice light yellow to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dissipates and leaves some light stringy lacing clinging nicely to the glass. The smell was slightly malty with some orange and light flavors of wheat. The taste was kinda sweet with a touch of bitterness coming through. The aftertaste was mainly sweet and it had a quick dry finish. On the palate, it sat mainly light but also displayed a light refreshing quality running about my mouth and tongue. The carbonation was good for the American Pale Wheat Ale style and for me. Overall, I say this is a well worthy APWA to have again.

12 fl oz bottle from Potsdam NY, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Slightly hazy light golden with a frail white head. Aroma: Dusty, wheaty, some citrus, a touch soapy(?), a touch resinous and herbal, refreshing. Palate: Medium-ish body, relaxed carbonation. Flav.: Quite a bit of wheat character, faint citrus/resin, a touch perfumed...like coriander, pretty light, not entirely successful; dry with limited bitterness and a fairly clean, grainy/wheat/citrus/dusty finish.

Wasn’t expecting much from this American Wheat Ale and my expectations were met!

Bought a case of this at the brewery after seeing a sign saying it was the last batch. I’m assuming they are retiring this brew. It’s a shame to because it’s a decent normal drinking beer. Good with food and relaxation, not boozy. You’ll get a little citrus and sweetness. Very smooth going down without any bitter and you can drink a few and still feel fine.

Rated on 12-31-2009 (Bottle) This beer forms a small white head with a short retention, transparent pale yellow body. The Aroma is wheat, citrus hops, and fruity. The Taste is malty, wheat and hint of citrus hops. The Palate is lightly bubbly and this beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, I did not care for the flavor of this beer as the flavors just did not join together very well. This beer lacks character and had no WOW factor for me. It is not a "bad" beer. I simply was not impressed with the flavor.
