This beer was a little different than there pale ale but it was not complex enough for my liking. l1br4r14n (451) - Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA - APR 22, 2009
Aroma of wheat and yeast. Flavor is much like the aroma, plus notes of grapefruit and other citrus fruits. thicksuds (449) - Massachusetts, USA - DEC 23, 2010
Not much happening with this beer for me, pretty nondescript, tasting the wheat a little, more of a mellow almost watery beer, slight bit of hops detected, but again, not much going on. alcaponejunior (438) - Texas, USA - FEB 10, 2012
Average appearance. Yellow and mostly clear, not a whole lot of head, a bit of lace. Definitely bready and yeasty. A little floral. A little grainy. Smell is overall light but somewhat sweet and pleasant. Taste is sweet, grainy, yeasty, a touch fruity. Body is quite light, easy to drink, and a touch slick with residual sweetness. It’s a tasty wheat, not outstanding or one of ST’s best mind you, but quite drinkable. robgibbens (432) - Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA - MAY 4, 2011
422 is a golden yellow clear ale. There is a good inch of foam on this one that sticks to the glass as it dissipates. There is a fruitiness malty aroma present. I can smell a hint of pear.
The taste is crisp and malty. There is a definite fruit flavor but not over-pronounced. You can feel the “wheatiness” but it is not as strong as it would be with a true Hefeweizen. The malt remains on the tongue and fades leaving a clean palate.

May 1, 2010; 12 oz. bottle (part of a "Pale Ale" sampler from ST). Wheat beers, generally, receive little love, but this deserves some. Dark yellow pour; citrus aroma (ST never ignores the nose); tangy & somewhat sour, with a clean, pleasantly-bitter finish. Judging this brew on an "it is what it is" standard, it’s pretty good, and would be a welcome refreshment anytime . . . particularly during the warmer-weather months. vmilaxer29 (412) - Virginia, USA - AUG 4, 2013
Bottle. Clear light yellow pour with a small soapy head. Nose is grain husk and lemon zest. Palate is a bit thin. Taste is mild grassy hops, with light citrus notes.

Another solid golden ale with a white head. It's clean a simple without being overpowering in any category.

Bottle pours cloudy yellow with quickly dissipating thin white head. Faint aroma of breaded malt. Doughy citrus flavors. Not much going on with this one. It is smooth but very watered-down and one dimensional. pet3rman (375) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 15, 2012
Pours gold with small white head. Sweet wheat/hop aroma. A hint of fermented fruit. Carbonated mouth feel and tingling gives way to a surprising common tasting ale.
