Appearance: dark brown ale with some light passing trough. Mocha like crown.
Nose : Pleasure to smell. Heavy pound chocolate cake. Moist , rich and filling. Sweet mocha sits on top.
Flavor/Palate : Medium-full bodied . Extremely satisfying rich yet not to heavy set of flavors. Hint of smoky roast with vinous alcoholic sided dark chocolate. Gentle mocha tune join in. This ale is oriented into specific niche and it does fill it splendidly. Extremely well done job. Superb chocolate flavored brew.
Overloaded with chocolate. Like eating a bittersweet chocolate bar. Tastes like a waxy tootsie roll. Duff53 (22) - USA - APR 3, 2008

Black with a beige head.
Loads and loads of milky chocolate. Ok bitterness. Maybe a bit too much chocolate for me. drainey (234) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 28, 2008
22 oz bomber. Dark brown body with a chocolaty brown head. Aroma is sweet with chocolate. Flavor has a lot of chocolate, but not too much to overwhelm the stout. Smooth mouthfeel. Very nice beer.

thick black pour with a deep tan head. aroma of sweet malt, some roastiness, milkiness and chocolate. Flavor is like chocolate milk for grown ups! Good balance of stout, lactose and chocolate. Very creamy mouthfeel. No real bitterness. I could drink one of these, but not more - just too much "non-beer" flavor for me, but it’s still very good for a chocolate stout. Wife loved it.
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2008 22 oz. bottle - thanks hank!!pours thick and pitch black; chocolate head and very oily appearance; strong and sweet milk chocolate aromas leave room for nothing else; no bitterness and creamy texture; drinks silky smooth and flavors are almost all chocolate as well with minor maltiness; at times it tastes perfect, but other times the chocolate is almost too much; an impressive ans tasty brew though hotstuff (5158) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 24, 2008
Bottle courtesy of patrick767 at the Fort Wayne Winter Gathering.Small tan head, no lacing, opaque, no carbonation observed, and a dark brown hue with a red tint.Nose was malty, heavily chocolate, sweet, some caramel, and a hint of vanilla. Flavor was sweet, a lot of chocolate, vanilla, caramel and finishes dry.Smooth, dry mouthfeel and medium in body.Quaffable, pretty much one dimensional, and would make for a nice dessert beer. jrob21 (3688) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 23, 2008
With a beer, I like complexity. At the same time I am a total chocoholic. That’s why I am a bit torn on my review here. As far as complexity goes, this one is pretty uncomplex and one dimensional with its chocolate bomb. The aroma is like walking into grandma’s house just after she baked a chocolate cake. The flavor is decadent truffle like chocolate. Oh yeah, this one came from rollinhard. Would totally welcome this one back again anytime. BuckeyeBoy (7680) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 22, 2008
22oz Bottle thanks to kmeves. I pulled this Chocolate treat out about the same time I was loading up my kids Easter Basket full of chocolate. This one Pours out a dark brownish red. This baby pours out nice and thick. A nice aroma of chocolate and light hop aroma. Tast full of sweet chocolate. With a nice bitter end. Very nice and thick. One more thing 11% I couldn’t pick it up. WOW Southern Tier is moving up my list. I have not had a brew from them yet that was bad.
