Slight pumpkin and brown sugar aroma. Black in color. Somewhat thin mouthfeel. Taste of pumpkin, clove, nutmeg. I dont get any chocolate or roast flavors. What I do get is a predominant soapy aftertaste. Meh.

This is a nice Imperial Stout with a very pleasing aroma of fresh pumpkin, nutmeg, allspice, and some ginger. Taste is smooth when chilled with a bit of peppery spice. This is more pumpkin *spice* than it is pumpkin alone. Not my favorite taste, but given the rest of the brew- its smoothness, aroma, feel on the tongue, I rated this pretty well.

Great googily moogily at the indulgence...Pumpkin pie slathered in Hershey syrup with a huge dollop of Cool Whip on top. BIg, sweet, boozy and unapologetic. Good if you like nutmeg. Luckily I do. Slight bitterness on the fade, but holy hell is this brew a dessert in a bottle.

22oz bottle and on tap at SLL tasting. Pours black with a ruby tinge and a half finger of brown head. Smells of toasted pumpkin, nutty, boozy, and the scent vanilla pudding. Tastes sweet and boozy, with vanilla pudding, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices, yet maintaining dark and toasted notes. Thick and oily body, low carbonation.

Lots and lots of autumn flavors not Ina pumpkin beer but an imperial stout. Thick and chewy. Not really impressed by this to much spice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bomber shared with a few good friends, drunk from a shaker. Wow amazing deep roasted chocolate taste with a toasted marshmallow in the finish. Dark oily deep flavors. Cannot believed the alcohol is 10%. Wow Damn good beer would buy and drink again. Another home run fall beer from Southern Tier!

I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours black and brown with some tan head and lacing. The aroma is pumpkin, vanilla, spice, and leather. The taste is pumpkin, vanilla, chocolate, spice, dark fruit, and booze. Its smooth, oily, and boozy. Theres a lot going on here. This is a very nice sipping beer.

This is a 2015 bottle. Dark beer with some mahogany hues when held against the light. Creamy beige head that shrank to a lasting ring. Bitter chocolate and dry spices in the nose. Very rich beer with dark, bitter chocolate, a bit of lactose, and a firm cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger spice that grows at it warms. Okay flavored stout.

This beer tastes near awful. The tasted in the glass were not at all complimentary. We gave it the rating we did to respect the pallet and the pumpkin that we tasted and smelled. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

DATE: October 13, 2016... OCCASION: nearly 300 miles of traveling today and in need of a dark one... GLASSWARE: Affligem chalice... pours a wickedly black, flat cola with a swiftly thinning brown head that leaves a random streak... when jostled, the glass does produces some bubbles.... first impressions are of intense nutmeg, pumpkin innards, thick malty roasted bread, musty vegetable, and odd spices like ginger, peanut, and sugars... in the throat, bursting with warmth... at the teeth, a tingle... enough carbonation to elicit response... BIG and robust at its finish... first flavors include vanilla, pumpkin, nutmeg, hazelnut, ginger, cereal grain, and green bean/asparagus... as time goes on, this beer picks up speed and strength, sipping like a red wine while sporting an earthy, grainy finish that makes for a worthwhile, powerful stout that nonetheless is one of the lesser Southern Tier offerings I have had...
