Another good one for Coles 75th anniversary. nose is pretty hoppy , with a touch of spice. flavor is mainly IPA with the pumpkin coming through more as this one warms. Great session beer HogTownHarry (6908) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - OCT 27, 2009
Draught. At Cole’s, Buffalo, NY. Clear copper pour, average frothy head - nice colour, really. Mild aroma (a tad cold) - C-hops, sweet, moderate alcohol, lightly spicy - only vaguely like the Pumking, has quite a bit more of the ST IPA character - sweet and somewhat pungently hoppy. Taste is mildly roasty, some alcohol (not too much), dry resin and spice bitterness, just a touch catty - and just a hint of the pumpkin in the linger (more as it warmed up). Nice solid body to it, decently carbonated, with a tingly, somewhat spicy crisp finish. Very drinkable indeed - but not much pumpkin there. ** update - had another glass about 2 weeks later - same deal: spicy, a little sweet, crips and only a little pumpkin pie zspice. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 26, 2009
Draught at Coles, Buffalo, NY. Pours a nice deep amber with a small diminishing white head. Aroma’s nice and hoppy, citrusy with lots of hops. Flavour of spices and hops along with sweet malt, some pumpkin there but not much, mostly in the finish -- very tasty. Medium bodied. Somewhat unique, I really liked it. zach8270 (4022) - Henrietta, New York, USA - OCT 17, 2009
(draft @ Cole’s - Buffalo, NY) Clear gold color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is lots of citrus and hops with a light sweetness. Not much pumpkin present and definitely no spice. Flavor is hoppy and citrusy with a lot of floral and resiny notes. A very small sweetness at the finish and a lingering bitter aftertaste. garthicus (2929) - Dublin, IRELAND - SEP 29, 2009
On tap at Coles. Appearance: dark amber, small frothy white head. Aroma: hop crazy, pineapple, spice, fruity and ever so slightly earthy. No pumpkin evident so far. Flavour: nice pineapple hops, malt, floral, pepper, tiny pumpkin notes with long bitter hop finish with cinnamon. Delicious.

Appearance: amber shade, clear, sparkly, minimal light white top.3-
Nose: sweet caramelized sugar, alcohol, hops with bready finish.
Flavor/Palate : Mid bodied. Clean straight feel. Clean hop character, dry alcohol some spice on side. Thinner finish. More on hops than on pumpkin.14-/20
tap @ Cole’s. Copper, white head. Nose is pretty much straight up southern tier IPA - pine, resin, dank with the addition of a small amount of pumpkin pie spice. The IPA again dominates in the flavor but some of the butterscotch/caramel comes through from the Pumpking. That caramel is slightly more pronounced in the finish which acts to temper the tingly, resiny hops. The Pumpking isn’t forward at all and it rounds out the IPA surprisingly well. Good job! swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 25, 2009
On tap @ Coles, Buffalo NY. Pours a light to medium orange / yellow. Medium hop aroma. Taste is initial medium bitterness up front, sweet malts, mild bitter/vegtal finish. Very drinkable & seems like a session beer. not too much if any of the pumpkin spice, since this is a blend of pre spiced Pumpking
