Dark red. Smells like plum. No head. Not balanced at all. It just doesn’t work. Very strong alcohol. Dominant oak flavor. It just doesn’t work.
Bomber into wine glass. Red mahogany color (very petty!) Scant cream head. Oak, light brown sugar, cherry cola nose. In the mouth, cola sweetness continues. Cherry villa aged in oak? Not sticky sweet, so it’s not bad. Not a profile I’d usual go for, but it works. Not a lot of hops, manages to avoid a sticky finish and is pretty clean. jandd1983 (4276) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - DEC 25, 2015
Bottle. It poured a dark amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma was of oak, toffee, caramel, and vanilla. The taste was similar to the aroma with more oak, vanilla, caramel, chocolate and a hint of creme brulee. Very nice. alexsdad06 (10284) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 22, 2014
22 oz. bottle from notes. Pours a hazy reddish amber brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor had sweet caramel malts, brown sugar, oak, cookie dough, some mild earthy character, alcohol present, OK, but not in line with most of their big beers at the time. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 21, 2014
[6666-20140816] Bottle. Roasted plum date aroma. Hazy, amber brown body with a quick foamy white head. Boozy roasted dark fruit and oaked potato flavour. Full body. Interesting. (7/3/8/3/14) 3.5

Clear red amber colour, white head. Aroma of tomato, brown sugar, dates, quite fruity. Finish malts, caramel and hops.

(From 65cL bottle @ The Autumn Gathering Formerly Known as RBBAG (I) Mons, Gent 2014. Thanks for sharing, tderoeck!)
650ml bottle. Maybe the least oxidized of the trio I tasted, similiar flavor to the other, a bit mroe vanilla and oak notes have survived the extended aging. tderoeck (9480) - Gent, BELGIUM - NOV 25, 2014

Taste: quite some vanilla, bit sour, banana, little bitterness, tannins, sugary, some orange peel. Aftertaste: sweet, sugary, bit metallic, vanilla, sugary, banana peel, some tannins.
65cl, as Southern Tier Cuvée 2, retired exclusive American brew, thx alot to Tim for sharing!, complex brew, woody/malty/sweet and slightly spicy/bitter, not too heavy, yet not balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, nice brew, ’Sadly more oxidated than Cuvée 1; not pleasant aromas of amoniac...’ 77ships (9650) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 26, 2014
Thank you tderoeck! Tasting glass from 650 ml. bottle consumed @ “The Tasting formerly known as Mons RBBAG I (2014)”. Super dark pomegranate red basically no head. Super thick sugar, caramel, caramelized apple & lots of oak nose. Taste is thick sugar, lots of caramel peel (main difference with nr. 1), extreme sugar, biscuit, good oxidation, sugar vanilla, tad more oak than nr. 1. Thick sugar body; Good but not top but definitely enjoyable. slowrunner77 (11930) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 27, 2014
"had a bottle with some age on it. dark red. smells pretty boozy. fruity, with a little chocolate and a touch of hops. mostly sweet with a little oak. a little more oak in the flavor, then more of the same. nice toasted oak flavor as it warms. it’s pretty nice but a little too cloying to be worth the $. ST makes better for less."
