Thank you tderoeck! Tasting glass from 650 ml. bottle consumed @ “The Tasting formerly known as Mons RBBAG I (2014)”. Super dark pomegranate red basically no head. Super thick sugar, caramel, caramelized apple & lots of oak nose. Taste is thick sugar, lots of caramel peel (main difference with nr. 1), extreme sugar, biscuit, good oxidation, sugar vanilla, tad more oak than nr. 1. Thick sugar body; Good but not top but definitely enjoyable. RCL (2032) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 21, 2009
Tons of vanilla wood influence: coconut for miles and miles. Flavor is like drinking a caramel macaroon. AGAquino (704) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 21, 2009
On tap at Cole’s in Buffalo. Dark mahogany colour, very slight head, but nice lacing. Seet malty aroma, and flavour. Very nice strong
beer, similar to a bock. barncatmatt (2355) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 23, 2009

Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy copper-brown with a medium head. Wonderful nutty chocolate vanilla nose. The sensations of flavours continue in the mouth. More vanilla, still chocolate in the background, nice bitter-sweet balance, a warming sense of alcohol. I am a little surprised to see some of the low ratings- can the quality vary from bottle to bottle?

from crackedkettle.com - pours a hazy ruby-brown colour with a modest head retention; shows a robust oak character with woody and vanilla tones, notes od prunes and black currant marmalade; solid malt body and with a robust sweetness partially balanced by a fair bitterness, sticky and oily palate, moderate carbonation, some warming alcohol presence in a long hoppy and woody finish with more notes of red fruits - a beautiful one guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - APR 22, 2010
Clear mahogany appearance with a small beige head and modest lacing. Delightfully complex aroma, from the woody impressions of the oak and the residual vanilla, followed by the malty sweetness of toffee, caramel and dark fruit. Equally impressive flavors mellowed by the oak. Hints of tobacco, vanilla, ripe fruit, molassas and caramel, finishing with just a touch of spicyness in the aftertaste. Full bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a long, lingering finish. superspak (6008) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - OCT 2, 2013
22 ounce bottle into snifter; no bottle dating, but should be at least 4 years old. Pours moderately hazy deep ruby red color with a thin khaki lace cap for a head, that reduces to a spotty lace cap that lingers. Minimal spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big caramel, raisin, fig, apple, toast, vanilla, toffee, oak, clove, light chocolate, brown bread, brown sugar, herbal, and toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of malt and oak notes; with great strength. Taste of big caramel, raisin, apple, fig, toast, vanilla, toffee, oak, clove, brown bread, brown sugar, chocolate, light roast, herbal, and toasted earthiness. Lingering notes of caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, toast, toffee, oak, clove, brown sugar, brown bread, chocolate, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic balance and complexity of malt and oak character flavors; with big robustness and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full bodied; with a very creamy, slick, and slightly syrupy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome oak aged strong ale! All around great balance and complexity of malt and oak character flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the high ABV. A highly enjoyable offering. jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - JAN 15, 2010

Sweet aroma with mainly dried dark fruits. Brown colour, beige head, good lace. Very sweet, nice bitterness, dried dark fruits, vanilla, licorice. Very sticky, flavourful, balanced and easy going.
22oz - Deep brown, light tan creamy head. Oaked caramel-cream aromas warm to swirls of vanilla brown sugar and booze. Deep toffee and vanilla flavors round with light swirls of spiced dark fruit and and oak. Full bodied, soft carbonation, warming, light wood finish. This one has aged gracefully...
