The bomber pours clear amber with copper hues and tiny off white head. The aroma is maple syrup, pine hops, sweet vanilla and oddly mixing with spicy oak. It also has sweet prunes and microwaved fig meat. Whoa! The taste is thick, sweet, gluggy and tumbles across the palate with an oak sweet molasses syrupiness. 22 oz. bottle, courtesy of manuchampions (thanks Jon), split 3 ways, pours a hazy dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma of syrup, caramel, candied sugar, oak, and sort of a cough syrupy and medicinal quality. Flavour is cloyingly sweet, with candied apple, caramel, cough syrup and medicinal qualities. Bottle poured into a small tulip glass. Pours a deep amber color with no head. Slight lacing around the glass. Nose is very complex with vanilla, oak, nutty scents. Taste is same with a lot more sweetness. A little bitter hoppiness shows up as well. Overall a little too sweet, really messes with the overall beer. (22oz bottle) clear rich copper, ring of few bubbles. Nose of caramel, vanilla, bourbon, ginger, rich. Taste of spicy ginger, alc, vanilla, anise, oxidized but nice.

Taste, sweet with honey, molasses, dark fruit hints, burned sugar, notes of vanilla. Sweet finish, no bitter hops. Strong brandy like finish with hints of wood. Bomber from Beer World. Ahh...Southern Tier doesn’t let you down. Dark ruby in the glass with rolling shiny tan head that slowly settles. Nose of dark fruit and wet wood. I know this wood smell all too well since Irene passed through and knocked trees down all over the place. Candi sugar and earthy basement tones intertwine. The only hops I can define are the ones in my basement drying. Twangy malt that certainly helped me sleep off the aches and pains of three days of chainsawing. I’ve been a huge fan of the Oak Aged Cuvees from Southern Tier. Glad I finally got to try the #3. Bourbon color. Smells like butterscotch, butterscotch and caramel popcorn. Candy. And plenty of sweet vanilla oaky goodness. Very oak driven. Very yummy but over the top and probably flawed but who cares. Pour is a deep mahogany color with a very thing light tan head. Nose is of oak, vanilla and many different caramel like malts. Taste is very mild, yet somewhat sweet.
