This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and slight citrusy hoppy. Crisp hoppy, grassy and dry toasted malty. Bitter and light cornish finish.

12 oz. bottle, pours a pale straw yellow with a small white head. Aroma of straw, grass and sweet corn. Flavour of straw, lots of lager-type adjuncts, and dry grassy hops (barely). Very unambitious brew here - barely drinkable.

Bottle @ Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Clear golden body, medium white head. Nose is pale malts, cooked veggies, hints of coconuts and wood. Odd, especially for this style of beer. Taste is sweet pale malts, grains and dusty hops. Definitely a Euro-style pilsener all right, but why bother to re-invent boring crappy lagers from Europe? Guess Souther Tier just wanted to do it for the kicks, but they should have left us innocent bystanders alone and not released this one commercially.

Kind of a disappointing beer. Very average everything. Smell, color, taste. Nothing repellent, but I’ll not buy it again.

This is a light and hoppy beer. It’s got a clean finish with a slight bitter aftertaste. A good beer on a warm day.

HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - MAR 16, 2012
12 oz. bottle. Bright golden pour with small white head that fades into a white rim around the glass. Aroma of bread dough, pale malts, along with bright, leafy, earthy hops. Flavor is refreshing and crisp, pretty nice for a pils. Strong, pale and pils malt, along with crackers and bread. Balanced by a solid hop note. Pretty good. Nice, medium bodied, finishes dry on the hop note. This isn’t dead on for the style but it’s in the team photo.

On tap. A pale gold color with a small white head and a bit of lacing. An aroma of malt and some yeast. The flavor is crisp, with a slightly sweet and yeasty flavor and fading sweet aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear, light golden color, thin white lacing. Aroma of hay, basement aromas.Mild sweet flavor, light and refreshing. Light body, average carbonation, mild finish. Decent flavor for a category that isn’t my favorite.

from a bottle looks like a good pale lager. some pils aroma spewing across the room. quite light at first then some heavier pils bite begions to set in. goes down easy but could be a little friendlier. finsih is a little sharp but acceptable.
