COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

Pours a clear, bubbly yellow on tap with thin white head and light lacing. Aroma of pils malt, bready and watery, with a hint of grassy hops. Taste follows, clean and bubbly on the mouth, slightly bitter. Good for a pils, but not my favorite style.

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised. Moderate bready aroma. Taste is yeasty, smooth and crisp straw. A very drinkable beer.

Poured from a 12oz brown bottle into a nonic pint glass at Jed’s party. Thanks for sharing. Clear straw colour with thin but persistent white foam. True-to-style Pilsener traits. Super grainy, hint of residual malt sweetness, subtle earthy and flowery hop aroma, somewhat less hoppy bitterness and flavour than most classic examples. Light body, average carbonation, nice mineral-water essence. Good, clean and crisp. A crowd-pleaser.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2015 undated 12 oz bottle served in a pint glass (from Nov. 2011 notes). No style indicated on the label other than Fall "seasonal", so I was surprised to find the beer is like a pale ale or ESB rather than a marzen. Not surprised by the flavor, however, since there is plenty of earthy and spicy hop aroma. There also some citrus in the nose, but the flavor veers more towards the citrus side, and leaves a moderately bitter grapefruit aftertaste. A nice orange-amber with a lasting off-white head. O - a bold and flavorful Fall seasonal.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 2C, adapted). Bottle 35 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: sweet malty background with some very faint floral notes. clean lager profile. APPEARANCE: light gold color and hazy. thin white head with below average retention. TASTE: semi-sweet malty background, less intense than the aroma. medium-low bitterness with a somewhat semi-dry finish. PALATE: light body with low carbonation. OVERALL: a pilsner made with aromatic hops but the aromas and flavors are not there (maybe old bottle?).
