On tap at Schatzi’s. Pours a lightly hazed ruby with a thin white to tan head. Big plum and fruit on the nose, a bit of isopropyl, warm candy. Medium bodied, big and warm, loads of stone fruit, big, boozy, esters coming through. Long malt and candy, esters, easy going fruit. A small amount of this is lovely.

Finally got a glass of this. Been chasing it a bit. McGregors Greece NY has had it off and on ahd came through today. Delightful. Very fruity, full of body, complexity, esters. Murky, orange, not a lot of head, served in a goblet. This is a style I like and this came through. jflopsu (1862) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 25, 2016
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2016 Pours a dark red-amber. Has a yeast/wheat, fruit, caramel, and sweet malt aroma. The taste is quite strong with a mix of fruits, caramel, dark alcohol, wheat, yeast, and sweet malts. A great aftertaste with sweet caramel malts and sugar. On tap at Columbus Winter Beerfest. Hazy amber red color. Thin bubbly ring of head, and film. Few loose bits of lace. Up front, some dark fruit, richer caramel, spiciness, touch of mustiness, bit of rasin. Bigger body. Kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Mild slick. Very full, almost chewy body. Moderate bitter, moderate to bigger sweet. Mild alcohol warmth, but not 11%. Solid quad, but I don’t think it compares to the best examples. Dogbrick (14458) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 16, 2016
On draught at the "Hunt the MAMMOTH" event at Giant Eagle Market District Kingsdale on 02/12/2016. The beer pours a clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of red fruits, malt and yeast. Full-bodied with flavors of ripe fruits, earthy yeast and caramel malt. The finish is fruity yeast and sweet malt. Pretty good overall. alexsdad06 (11561) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - FEB 14, 2016
Draft to taster at Cincinnati beerfest 16. I had to get 2 samples to get a decent amount to rate because they were doing smaller pours. Pours a clear deep amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel and toffee malt, Belgian candi sugar, ripe fruits, lightly toasted bread, a mild spice character, warming alcohol, decent American quad.
