Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and youll realize that this isnt your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Suns bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold color with a brief white head. Aroma is mostly wheat, a little hoppy and tart. Medium-light body, taste is kind of plain, a little bit of hop flavor, some citrus comes through and just a touch of tartness at the end. Overall, not bad.

Bottle. Hazy light gold. Some dusty faded citrus hops and light wheat in aroma and flavor. Bleh, is this old?! Dusty, candy, some citrus hops. Lighter medium chalky body.

Bottle from Julios. Clear gold with white head and lace. Mild spicy aroma with some bready and honey. Sweet malty honey nuts toast with mild herbal fairly dry finish. Light body refreshing carbo. Wheat ale is probably the worst beer style, but if I had to have one, this wouldnt be too bad.

on tap @ Hebron Brew Haus / Hebron KY --- Nice aroma of fruit and malt. Clear straw amber color, ivory head that drops to a cover, star field of lace. Taste is light malt with fizz and light hops. Easy-going, and mild, but, also easy to drink.

Flight #3 at the brewery with ebone1988. The pour is a darker clear golden yellow with no head and a few spots of lace. The aroma isnt really there. There is a light wheat and some decent malt, but its boring and lacking. The flavor is just as light and boring. The wheat offers a light crispness and a of malt on the back end. The mouth feel is thin and watery with a lacking carbonation and a lingeringly bland malt to go with a quick fading wheat. Im surprised this is as high by style as it is. Theres nothing here.

Flight at Southern Tier with koleminer20. Aroma is wheat, grassy, sweet and floral. Appearance is darker golden, off white head, clear. Taste is pilsner-y, wheat, earthy hops, simple. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, refreshing, earthy hops and sweet malt aftertaste. Overall, this one is pretty good.
